wouldn't this make sense ? If not I'd love to know what was the problem here and how did Vinay sort it out.

i know I'm posting a comment on an old thread , but i thought of adding on for readers looking to find solutions instead of starting a new thread.
Thing is only the HU used to reset itself, even when the engine was not running. The headlights and all other stuff worked just fine. It hasn't reset till now, after those two incidents.

what is happening has to do with the HUs sensitivity to a low battery.

just ensure that the battery has a full charge ('d get the charging circuitry checked).

One of my friends had this resetting problem and he had a hard time convincing the Honda service guys before they agreed that it indeed was a HU problem. Get it checked from them.
