went to the installer yesterday. He was reluctant to agree at first that it was not a genuine kit. Ultimately but reluctantly he agreed to let me try other kits.

One was a kit name visionik and other from Sumooku. I also tried for other brands in the market without luck. This fake jbl is certainly doing a better job than these other two. Even the quality of wires was bad.

I am looking to get a scosche efx kit. How much should I shell for these? I will have to buy them from out of town.

I would say try and get a refund for the fake kit. even if you get 60-70% of your money back. its still good. Then buy something better and fix it up.

That's exactly the plan. I will get 100% back. And I am looking at scosche efx amp kit. I just don know where to get it from.

sorry for trespassing the thread...but off late i saw Kicker wires...are those original..does kicker come out with RCA cables too??

When I was at a local dealer, he showed me the exact 'JBL' amp kit in that pouch. He told that Boss is for 2K and this 'genuine JBL kit' is for 4K. I knew this was fake (thanks to Sam, he had posted this earlier in another thread with pics of original and fakes with packing). I replied him "oh you have the original JBL, thats good. Right now I am tight on budget and already have my old cables set at home which I am planning to use now. Will come for it with next upgrade"

Yeah thats true it is hard to find good technicians in Ahmedabad for after market job.

Sorry for the late reply. I did change the amp cables to Scoche. Sound Quality has certainly changed.

Also this time, I read the manuals and did the work myself. The only visible mistake at the moment is that I left the passenger safety belt between the plastic cladding and B-pillar.

The Amp is also pretty warm while running instead of being hot.

Gort the battery changed to Amaron. Somehow the ICE sounds better now.
