Car Audio

Hi,
Most of the ppl who drive love to listen to music while in the car. And the better the music system the better the ride. So, I would like to see some very unusual, weird, strange music systems here. I know some of you might have them in ur own cars but even if someone posts pics, it will be a gr8 thing for all to see.

Regards,
AJO.

hi,

just getting my palio d in a couple of days and i am going to design my own speaker system in it - from using unique high end drivers to putting in a custom made crossover.

listen to mostly vocal jazz, folk and oldies like sinatra - dean martin - ella - of course knopfler - so i need a really unique hifi system to suit my needs. not any of those headbanging types!

will keep you all posted on the results - but trust me it will be unique

If the head unit has a direct sub out, do you still need an amp. I'm more interested in sound quality than in volume.

Yes, you will still need an amp (or powered sub).
The "sub output" is the output that goes to the amp for the sub.

Bass takes the most amount of power from all the frequencies, and to drive a large subwoofer you will need a seperate amp as the head unit wont really be able to put out that kind of power.

Cheers. I know about bass frequencies needing the most power. Just that I haven't bought a car player in a while, so I wasn't sure how far they've managed to progress. Thanks dude.
