okay so its available in grey here, where did you guys buy it at satya's place?
any way i surely want an audition of it.
and for the further upgrades if i do any i will surely keep this in mind.:) |
The Component Speaker installed was a JBL P6560C Component speaker and it is with official bill and warranty, I don't really know which model is available in grey.
Coming to how much power the speakers are being fed, a lot depends on what the listening environment is and what kind of music will be played on the system. The amp selection was dependent on expenditure budget, the power series speaker was an upgrade over the infinity reference speaker, and WHAT an upgrade it has been.
The power series JBl sounds pretty well worth the price.
Coming back to amplifier power and the allocated amount of money, the only other option was a GTO504 amp and I was not too impressed with that amp the last time I installed it. The A604 is a good amp and well worth the price.
A lot of the SQ depends the source we use, and this optra is getting a JVC AVX44 which has some superb SQ. This setup can put even some GTO amps with the same speakers running on a Pioneer head for example to shame. :)
@ Blue Raven : do they (JBL powerseries speakers) provide good bass effects??

From the time I have seen these component speakers at Evo, I am wanting to audition them. They were looking pretty decently built speakers. Vanity also mattersstupid:.

Yes we can have an audition when you are in BLR the next time. Hope to have my HU changed by then so that we get the true picture. |
@mshooli, I would like to audition this setup with a friend of mine. He also has a magnum and is pretty out with the OE setup. And I certainly want to listen to those JBL Power series components.

Akbaree, I should be getting my AVX44 this week and plan to get it installed at EVO at the earliest. I will PM you on which day I will be at EVO to get this done. I will be there atleast for a couple of hours as damping also needs to be done. You can come with your friend during this time and check it out.

Great!! I have shortlisted this for my next upgrade. The honda city JBlfied thread also rated the power series components great.

I am getting Alpine 9887 head unit, Image Dynamics IDQ v2 sub woofer and Audison wiring as part of the current upgrade.
The feedback I am getting from most of us is to go for a better set of components and a monoblock in the next upgrade.

Thanks brother. The next upgrade will take some time.:)
Finally upgraded my HU. Its the JVC KD AVX44 EL CHAMELEON. The touchscreen interface is really cool though it takes some time getting used to it. The listening experience is just too good and I am loving every moment of my drive now. Will be uploading the pics of the install and HU soon.
