Tel Mute Operation in Kenwood KDC MP 3029

My Baleno is factory fitted with Kenwood KDC MP3029 HU. I recently discovered while reading the manual that it has a function named Tel Mute where in the audio is supposed to stop when a call comes in.

But I don't have a car kit fitted or any clue how to make it work.

Do I have to add a car kit OR give some connections. The manual is not very helpful in this regard.

Please let me know if this feature is of any use and HOW??

Extract From Manual
TEL Mute
The audio system automatically mutes when a
call comes in.
When a call comes in
"CALL" is displayed.
The audio system pauses.
Listening to the audio during a call
Press the [SRC] button.
The "CALL" display disappears and the audio
system comes back ON.
When the call ends
Hang up the phone.
The "CALL" display disappears and the audio system comes back ON.

Yes, a car kit, for example Nokia handsfree kit. connects to this terminal (the pin number should be in your HU manual in the connection diagram under installation). This is controlled by the external handsfree kit for muting the HU when a call is picked up.

If you can access that wire in the harness, you can test its functioning by connecting it to ground (I think, I am not sure; setting it to high or 12V does not make sense, must be internally pulled up in the HU) - HU should 'mute'.
