JBL or Blau Amp?

I intend to buy a 4 channel Amp and am confused between the Jbl 1004 & Gta 480.Two channels will be used to power illusion el6.1 & the other two will be bridged to power a JBL 1502D.Plz tell me which amp will provide more juice to my sub which is my main concern.THanks in advance.

Get the JBL. The 1004 is a better amp than the Blau in all departments.

As B&T Said 1004 is a very nice amp and sufficient to power up the compos and sub.
As the amp is costing around 15k you can consider another option too i.e.

JBL GT5-604 - Powering up EL6.1 and rear fill speakers
JBL GT5-3501 - Monoblock powering up the 15inch JBL

GTO1004 is 320 Watts RMS bridged @ 4 ohms

GTO3501 is 225W x 2 @ 4 ohms
360W x 2 @ 2 ohms

Site doesnt say if its 1 ohm stable or not.

Also perhaps you could try out the Infinity Ref475a. Nice amp and comparable to JBL 1004.

I would prefer an Monoblock if you like to powerup your sub. it's lot more better than an 4channel amplifier.

I would even certainly have liked a monoblock but the 3501 is providing only 225 at 4ohms while 1004 is giving me 320 which is good for a 300w rms sub.I could even think of a mono amp which is stable at 1 ohm as my sub is even 1ohm stable.
Any such monos available in about 8k?
I do not want to go for the 3001.

which would be the best choice of monoblock to drive a 300/400 watts /Rms sub in abt 10K.

If the sub in concern is an SVC, 4 ohms - no need to get a monoblock. Just drive it off the bridged output of the 1004. Or you can get a powerful 2-ch amp.

I guess if you are looking for a mono, you would want one that is stable at 1 Ohm.

You will need a 1 ohm stable mono to run that sub. Or a very powerful two channel amplifier. Both are a little hard to find, and expensive from the big brands. There are some good grey market options though. Should be about Rs. 18-19k for a 1 ohm stable 1000W rms mono.
