Great thoughts NetfreakBombay!!! Liked the video trip recorder especially...I was planning to do that using the CarPC but never got to install it.

GPS Trails: Currently I do that with GPSed application on my mobile. Has a live tracking feature as well.

Installing Linux is just for fun. Its quite usable as a Win CE device.

Yes bro. I know Linux is more usable then Win CE , In case you are interested to know Phones like Moto Roker and Razer V8 are Linux based and so is Android.

But the question I asked was from point of view of how to port Linux on this device and not if Linux should be ported or not

For ARM based processor you can use GCC ARM and may be scratchbox but there are too many things to do for porting basic hardware ( apart from processor core) and one need to know the hw details.

Just in case some one is interested i just picked up a 945GCLF yesterday for 2950 from S.P in BLR with 2 GB ram it seems to run WIN7 WITH Aero B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L-L-Y!! p.s. the GCLF2 which comes with S-Video out is also available for 4500 or so.

@suneet_ag go to any of the stores and check on S.P Road... they're available all over the place..
