This ESK 163L produces 125W RMS x 2.
Now i have options.
1. Bridge 4 Channels of my GTA-480 to get a powerful 2 channels (210W RMS x 2)
2. Connect 2 channels of my Infinity Kappa (125W RMS x 2)

Which is a better option ? Please suggest, as this affacts my choice of Subs

Thanks

If you have both the amps then you can try both and see which ones sounds better for you.

Hi Guys,

Any idea about the cost of HSK165 and HCX 165? I have been quoted a price of 19+ for the HSK165 alone.

prices seem to have fallen big time.
I just picked up a brand new DCX 690 for 3.3k with B&W . For reference, it cost me 5.2k 2 years ago. even the MRP marked on the box was 3990

The DSK 130's were going for 4850 ( I had paid 5700)

Yeah, that's what Hertz sells for now. The guys who are distributing it, have expertise on how to drop a product's price, works really great for the buyer sometimes

Hello, This is my first post on the forum and living true upto my audiophile head I am posting it here in ICE

Anyone aware of HERTZ dealer in Delhi ? Reading the price above it definitely seems like giving a shot. btw am planning for ICE on my SX4 which will be coming home soon . I am planning for Components in the front and 6x9 in tray at back and a 4 Channel AMP keeping the HU stock.

Hearsh, Hertz is stocked by many in New Delhi. Certain names are AutoMarc (I think so), Driven, Gyro etc. Moreover for SX4 ICE, please do get in touch with Maglev as he's contemplating ICE upgrade too for his SX4. I mean both of you can end up getting a good deal.

They do supply JBL, Alpine with B&W too.
Do they stock Hertz subwoofers (HX250) and amplifiers (EP4X)? Could you please get me the contact no. for Car Shoppy?

Are they good at ICE installs? I meant that generally TVM ICErs have a reputation for shabby work!! Would you recommend them over Car Palace, Keshavadasapuram?

no on both. they probably have one or two of the fast moving items ( 6x9's , 6.5" comps) , and thats pretty much it. doesnt hurt to try though.

nope, they're not good. messed up a friend's i10 install ( Instead of using spacers, they made crude holes in the plastic cover which is fitted on the speaker location using a drill & screwed them on there)

@greenhorn: Could please PM me their Contact No.?

So would you prefer Car Palace, Ksvp? One of my friends recently suggested that Car Fashions at Kowdiar are good. Do you have any experience with them?

saw some hertz stuff at the shop near museum ( the one that goes down)
I dont prefer any shop - they are all equally bad. I usually go to Motor plaza ( chavadimukku) since they have their own woodworking setup, and they will happily do what I ask them to.

But if you let them have a free hand, caveat emptor

Yeah, I know. Can you get me the link to any thread on Team-BHP that mentions what are the stuff that we have to keep a look out for while doing an ICE install (like cutting the wires, spacers etc)?
