The stock H.U has been retained for now waiting for it to land from U.S in two months time, hopefully the 2009 lineup will hit the market by that time. The second phase will be around that time with damping, amp and a subwoofer added to the list.

Looks very clean and like shreyasma says the finish is great. Looks absolutly stock, that what I like the most. Bets of luck for the rest of the upgrade.

Nice neat install. One doubt, Cant the rear speakers be installed from above using the same spacers?

Haa Awesome. My setup is similar. Everything looks stock. I have one question. That FoMoCo speaker was the front one or the rear?

I donated my stock rear speakers to my Matiz mechanic (when I upgraded to Soundstream) so I want to know if I gave the FoMoCo's which I guess now I shoudn't have. I have retained the front stock. Thanks

Can be, but then you wont be able to reattach the stock grills.

Please read above. Also, there is no difference in sound doing it this way.

Front and rear speakers are the same. FoMoCo don't sound good man. No point taking it back.

Thanks Ajay for answering all the queries

@Fountainheader the install was done at Ajay's place itself

@abhinav.gupta88 very happy with the Illusions they will sound even better with a better H.U than the stock one & amps.

Aah, so thats what you are worried about.

It doesn't matter. The opening isn't much smaller. Ends up just over the surround of the speaker. A lot of factory grills in door panels etc have much lesser open area than this.
