If you dont want to put it behind seat and if there is no space on sides then cut a plywood of size boot floor area and place amp on it. place well crow behind it to stay fixed to floor. keep the junction box on a side wall. this will help if it is to be removed out.you can laminate it black but dont cover with cloth. you can also raise it also by 5mm to give air circulation.keep a handle to help in rising it in case a tyre removal is required.
or
go to a professional and give him your requirement, he should do it better.

What do you dislike in the Illusions?
What did you like most in VPC172?
This will help us understand more better.

I would also advice the GZRC-16X if you want bassy and crispy.

@ Panky , you need to listen to them , you'll love them

I recommended him the same but he doesn't want to discuss that in open it seems.

Many people don't like the so called laid back tweeters in Illusions. JBL produces good on the face kinda tweeters and it really gives a live feeling to the overall music. Many prefer this.
As far as I understand, he likes Blau VPC172. I think he should install it and forget everything else.
What say?

All these guessing games weren't necessary if he could post his likes/dislikes here.

Zak he is also having some wiring issues. In which he has wired the midbass out of phase. I have mailed him two separate files in which one is original and in the other I have reversed the phase, so that he can distinguish which one plays better. He tried and told me that the file which is out of phase gives more bass and the one with normal ones give good vocals. Which clearly shows wiring issue.

I think tunning and proper wiring makes a major difference.
