so what's the SQ like? Boomy? Tight? Bassy?

this can add a lot of zing to a hatch back - IMHO a decent value at a good price point provided the SQ is good.

Suprateep.
Its 200w rms for around 7000 bucks. There are cheaper subs providing you with better power and SQ.

Bhai what is the relation between 200w rms and SQ?
Have you auditioned it? or you are just assuming?

..probably he meant better output @ cheaper price.

now what the statement 200W and SQ means here..this kenwood 200W can outperform JBL Gti or IDMAX? NO!

Noidaboy asked a very simple question... NOT having heard the product, how can anyone judge the output or SQ of the said product. When one says "better output"... Again, how did one arrive at that conclusion without listening to the said product?

Please! By twisting words and facts, you must not misuse the freedom of expression available here to malign any products / brands without any factual basis.

This (with all due respect), appears to be a novelty product, the novelty of which seems to be the lighting. From what I've been told, it's a decent performer. Even if it performs (sonically) as well as Kenwood's own 3K subs, there may be some who want such a product. The manufacturer seems to think so, else they would not spend on developing such a product.

Let's keep an open mind. Why must every product be compared to our favorite brand or product. There is enough room for everyone to coexist with their own tastes and preferances.

End of rant.

In my opinion Kenwood is not know for its speakers and woofer. They majorly know for there HU`s and little for the amps....

Rest the sub in question are for those who want BLING first and SQ or SPL later. They want a aesthetically good install rather than a good sounding one. Having not heard this sub cannot commet on it further but having heard kenwood models did not find any this great in them also.

Blue Ocean Strategy

Please Manufacturers when devaloping a product has a certain USP and a target audience in mind. Not every thing is everyones cup of tea. Lets comment on a product on its product placement.

I think you are forgetting the old Kenwood subs. The Silver and Blue Cone ones (2002). They were pretty good and had a tight kick.
