ICESUTRA with Swift

2 years back i purchased the car (swift) and i thought the sound is ammazing... with the following setup

pioneer 6850
mega audio (dvd, dvix, aux in, card, usb support)
Kenwood KFC-M1628A (Coaxial) ---- front and rear
Glider 2Ch amp
pioneer amp (gmx - 404)
pioneer 306 dvc , D2 (custom bandpass enclosure)
jbl wiring kit

Then one fine day i auditioned Compos and liked them a lot .... got Alpine type X from driven....(thanks to LBM, Gunbir and JB)
Then the question was what amp should i run it on ..... glider was not working properly... and i had budget constraints... so i went for Pioneer GMX 922

Now the setup was like

pioneer 6850
Alpine Type X (compos) ---- front connected to GMX922
Kenwood KFC-M1628A (Coaxial) --- rear connected directly from HU
Pioneer GMX 922
pioneer amp (gmx - 404)
pioneer 306 dvc , D2 (custom bandpass enclosure)
Audison Speaker Cable
Filonex Power Cable

Now i felt the need for Damping... and i damped my front two doors ... i used Noise Kill (Thanks LBM)

Then I removed the twin woofer and was running only one woofer in Ported and Sealed box for some time

NOW, finally i got a Sub that satisfied me in terms of SQ and SPL its GZ Radioactive... details are :

pioneer 6850
Alpine Type X (compos) ---- front connected to GMX922
Kenwood KFC-M1628A (Coaxial) --- rear connected directly from HU
Pioneer GMX 922
Kenwood 9103D (mono amp)
Ground Zero Radioactive 12XS AL (Ported Enclosure)
Audison Speaker Cable
Filonex Power Cable

When the tuning of the sub was done by LBM it was melodious and was merging into the compos.....

Finally i would say it is a SQ setup which and also perform SPL function when required

There Gz radioactive subs are super covetable and highly popular. Next time i'm doing up my Zen, its going to be an out and out SPL machine:-) i'm going to go radioactive with a sealed box. Its amazing what they can do, even given much lesser power than they are rated at. Congrats YaYa great setup. 6850 is one of the few good Pioneer head units. Anyways hope the numbers keep adding up and you touch LBM limits(thats good wishes for you)

Damn. Yayatti , I so envy you right now.
Amazing Figures with just 1 Sub.

I have heard the setup myself and simply love it. Its amazing. The compos are really good and so is the sub.

Wish you more success with upgrades ( when is the next one) ?
