I actually listened to this set just last week in an Alto heh heh.

The Car Accessories shop I frequent have taken up Distribution of RF & Soundstream in Kerala and they had setup a demo car (brand new Alto, no less) with a pair of these comps in front and another pair in the boot, with a pair of Punch subs glassed into the boot. The setup was being powered by an RF amp (for the comps) and a Soundstream amp (for the subs). The HU was an Alpine 9833 rescued from the installer's personal stash. I'll snap pics of the car the next time I go there in the daytime. The install in the front doors was pretty unique, with the comps, XOs and the power-window switches set in an FG pod.

With no offense meant to the original poster, I did not much like how the Comps sounded. A bit too bright and thin for my personal taste. (Two metal dome tweeters per channel are a bit overkill.) The subs sounded quite ok.

Congrats on the setup.
Good to know you like the setup.
You can now wish for Rockford to make HU and then get a 2 channel amp. and tell RF to make some wiring too so your baleno can be renamed Suzuki Fosgate

Can we have the detailed pricing please.

anyways, good install and hope you are happy with it. its quite a unique install on Tbhp, as not many people have out and out rockford fosgate installs.
congratulations!
Congratulation dude! As Franky has rightly said Yep pretty unique install out here. Would love to audition it when I come over.

I used to be a big fan of Rf at one point, my first upgrade after a Sony Amp and Sony Sub was a RF amp and RF sub, and those were the old RFs and they sounded God like back then.

I still feel the Rockford 6.5" Components are pretty decent sounding but not as great as being priced Rs 16000. In power handling and SQ it will get Run over by the ID CTX compos, but sound is like one man's food and another's poison.

Both the LA 2 channel and the Rf 4 channel are way too overpriced for the performance they deliver. The amps like the Old RF Punch series about 8 years ago and some of the Power series like the 550X / 551X were really good amps, especially for what they were selling @ the end of life were steals.
After RF moved to China their amps have lost that old color in sound.

I think this is your second or maybe third good setup in the Baleno, so don't stress or worry, as long as the install was good, this setup can sound pretty good. Over the course of few years if you continue like us then you will contract the disease of high end audio which will have no end to addiction, but will be very satisfying indeed whatever the cost may be.

hi ascertain. thats the WHOLE point! its a covert operation. dads, moms, wives, sisters, girlfriends do not know how much we spend on ICE or gadgets. if they do come to know we'd have to kill them (more like, they will bludgeon us to death ) :-)

talk about timing

talk about murphy's law - My wife just saw the post (Note to self: ALWAYS switch screens when spouse is in vicinity!), and wants to know whether she is going to be the TBHP monster, after everyone reads my posts. Anyway- I get you point- a slow and innocent part by part upgrade. Absolutely covert.
