The New JBL GT5-S422

I just opened the India Jbl site today and was shocked by the numbers! Rubbed my eyes again and again seeing these specs!
Perfect to power a single SVC sub! Really mouth watering! I guess Sam and team heard our prayers!
Considering the earlier 402 used to put out a measly 40*2, this is HUGE! its going to sell like hot cakes, if priced well! these are SERIOUS numbers guys, the GTO752 made this much power. Sam, thank you! You have possibly solved the problem of a large number of people who needed a one stop solution to power their subs! I'd have bought this too if i hadnt bought my RF mono.

No Frank, While it is a new amplifier - I'm sorry, those figures are incorrect. You accessed that page while it was being approved - those figures are a mistake. If you revisit the site, you will find that the new figures are displayed.

It is a small improvement over the GT5 amplifiers, but still the same platform. To achieve those figures, we would need a new platform.

Sorry about that, I could feel your excitement, lol.

sam, i just felt a small part of me dying right now after reading your post. i was so happy!! anyways, back to the same old same old mundane life, looking for an amp to power a single subwoofer @ 4ohms :-(
