Music sys for NHC

I am planning to go with the following combination for my NHC that will
be delivered shortly.

Sony XR-F5100 Cassette tuner (~ 7k)
Sony CDX-757MX 10 CD/MP3 changer (~ 10k)
Sony XS-GT6947X 6x9 4 way speakers (~ 5.5k)

Basically I am looking for a cassette player with an cd/mp3 changer in the
boot. I dont prefer having an amp/woofer but I like listening music with good
bass at decent volume (may be I can relax a bit with the woofer if it is a must to get good bass feel). Does the above configuration suit my needs or is there another combination that I should be looking for ?

Thanks

Dude,
they are ripping you off.
A good MP3/CD player with radio is available for that much.

I suggest put a double din... I have a JVC mp3 double din in my NHC...it fits perfectly and its good value for money....paid like around 9000-10000 for it , which is a gr8 price for a double din.

if you want both cassette and cd get a double din. here are some options.

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-JSxTYD...00&I=113DPX4070
or
http://www.ibuydigital.com/main.cfm...FTOKEN=85275804
or
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarA...ProductID=13711
or
http://www.cardomain.com/item/SONWX4500X?ref=bizrdf
or
http://www.idealav.com/item.aspx?pid=49720

i would choose between the Pioneer 5000 and Kenwood 4070. the pio has sub level control and 24bit Burr Brown DACs. i have listed stereos from various sites so you get the home links of these site. many of them have forums and one can learn a lot from there.

i would sugest that you try and get components atleast for the front speakers. some components are as affordable as some of the coaxial speakers.

a small sub in the trunk or mounted on a MDF rear deck will do a far better job of the bass that the 6x9s you intend using.

Thanks for the input guys..

Sahil,

Does your JVC system play MP3's... cause the specs only say that it
takes MP3 Aux input ... I could not find in the specs that it plays MP3...

Also, I suppose all 2-din playes do not have removable head plates...
correct ?

@cnu...Mine plays MP3 cds directly... it looks exactly like the one on the website i mentioned but maybe some difference in the specs.

@west....Double din doesnt fit into most indian cars...In the NHC they give u a single din panel but right below that they have an extra drawer sort of cabinet.... to fit the double din i removed my company fitted honda panel and also removed the extra glove cabinet below it...after which it fit perfectly...makes the dash board look rich.

Most of the cars in the D-Segment have double din musi players.
In the C segment, cars like the baleno (i think), lancer, city esteem are compatible and even the wagonR and the Alto too.

the honda city can take double din as can my skoda octavia. so it depends from car to car. as i understand it the toyota corolla can take double din too. double dis in not inherently better than single just that most systems that can accept cassette and CD are double din with the sole exceptions of the sanyo shown below.
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-NKaQtz8...0&I=140FXCD550
or the http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=14073
or a few other models all made by sanyo.
