Power Rears through HU with no amp.

Hi Gurus.
A question in mind.
Is it possible to power the rear compos through any HU which has no built in amplifier or which has an option to cancel the amplication from the HU(which if i were given an option i would do)

Thanks in Advance.

abhinav, if you switch off the amplifier in your HU, you cannot power any speakers from the head unit. the only option is to use 2 channels of your 1004. why you asking such a question if you have a 4 channel amp for your fronts and rears? are you planning to upgrade to a more powerful 2 channel amp for the GZ radios????
