I really want a banging system for my OHC.
I dont like jarring i.e. 2ohm setup i prefer only 4 ohm set up.
Money isnt a big deal but it is a deal.
Here is what i have thought

All alpine(I prefer just 1 company install)

Head Unit - IVA-W505 (Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. - IVA-W505)

Components (8 in quantity) - SPX-17PRO (Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. - SPX-17PRO)

Sub (4 in quantity) - SWX-1243D (Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. - SWX-1243D)

Amps (Components,2 in quantity) - PDX-4.100 (Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. - PDX-4.100)

Amps (Subs,1 for each) - PDX-1.1000 (Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. - PDX-1.1000)

I wont mind 6 components and 3 subs but i really want a super sexy, super banging system.
Calculating it comes to 4 lac+.
This is a little high.
About 3.5 - 4 lac is okay(Max).
I am planing to do some performance mods taking 30k and new rims and tyres also.
But everything should cost under 4.5 lac - max 5 lac.

Please any one help me to reduce the cost of the system but still sound awesome.

Please guys help me.I really want a thumping sound system.I want it to be at least in the top 10 of our country.
4 lacs is a stretch but i will convince my dad to give but it will take time,so i need to know real fast.
I dont know many brands, but seeing most i have seen that alpine's sub is best suited for me,unless i am not looking in the right place.
Please Gurus help me out.
:D

@abhayshanu,

1. Merely throwing money will not get you a system which will be "at least in the top 10 of our country" - you have to know the issues and work towards a goal. Quite obviously you want an SPL system, but first please understand what that is all about by reading up past threads

2. Since you have pre-decided a vendor (that also one that is not known to be an SPL favorite) and the products, the only person who can help you reduce cost is the Country Manager of Alpine, or the Alpine distributor in Mumbai

3. A better approach is to take it step by step (I am sure that is not the suggestion you were looking for) - put in a basic but loud system, getting used to it, and gradually replacing parts of the system till you achieve your goal. Get in touch with Mumbai cowbhai @bass&trouble and you will be able to audition some systems to know what direction you should take

Have a lil patience dude. Just wait for others to see and respond.
This is a serious install.
Also, are you sure you want to have a single brand installation?

Dude you are missunderstanding.
I already have a basic system.
I want better.
I dont want SPL i want SQL thats why alpine.
I like Thump not jarring.
That is also why i will have to spend more as SQL subs require more power for the same amount of pressure that a SPL sub gives.
And i know that merely throwing money wont give me a nice system.i have created my system for about 30k and it sounds better than a 50k setup with 2 subs.
:D

No, not a single brand install, I said I'd prefer.
I will tell you why - The Sub has 1000w rms and not many amps can give 1000w rms at 4 ohms, but the amp does exactly, same with all brands.
Each Company makes a sub and a amp also which are completely compatible. that is why i feel that a one brand install will make the best sound with least amount of wastage of watts and money, but i am no expert so i can be wrong.
But as i said that i will have to convince my dad to give the money, that is why i need to know as soon as possible so that i can start buttering up from now.
:D

If it is pure SQL you are looking at then there is no need for so many subs. 1 or two at the max. 8 Components is also not needed, at the max you would need 2 pairs. This itself would drastically cut down the budget.

What's 4 ohm's got to do with jarring?

And 8 compos?

Demo car?

abhhayshanu it is not nesscery that spending lacs of money will give you the best sql system, alpine is not only brand available in the marker if you want a good sql system you have look at other brand also, alpine makes some very good HU but not other things like sub, speaker, amps.

at one point of time they were good because other were not available in india but now you have so many options.so get in touch with member those who are from mumbai can help you building your system.

the first name which comes to my mind franky ji kithe ho.

ameenmaj - yes i want a real good SQL system but not just for myself,i want people standing far away to be able to hear my car thump and listen to the song.

jkdas - 4 ohm setup is SQL setup,2 ohm and 1 ohm is SPL setup and yes i do want a demo car if not better, thats why i said 'it should be in the top 10 of our country'.

karankapoor - Ok but i dont want alpine i just want a real nice system and i was just saying that i feel that this is the best way to reduce wastage of watts and money, but as i said earlier i might be wrong.

Please Some Guru help me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

abhayshanu i would recommend you to do the following -
research on brands like hertz,id,genesis, steg,GZ,rainbow, etc.
Try to get an audition through various people on t-bhp.
Approach a good installer and get the stuff installed in a good way.
Only if the install is done in a good way, it would be money well spent.

I guess you are totally wrong on that front. Mixing of brands actually(on an average) gives you a better output and better value for money.

You might wanna look at this thread:

Are you looking for something similar?

I doubt how you are going to achieve both. As per my understanding, for a good sql setup (or any other setup), the car should be so well damped, that outsiders should not be able to hear what is being played inside the car, however loudly its being played. Maybe the ICE gurus will j regarding your requirements.

For your budget, there are way better brands you can choose from. Alpine makes good headunits, no doubt about that. For the rest of the ICE setup you can hear out what the junta suggest here.

i think you have a confusion here regarding the the ohms.

and first be sure about your budget that how much you will spend on the install,a small break up for the same.

HU 30K
front 50k
rear 20k
sub 80k 2 of them
amp 150k
wiring+damping 40k total-370k round off 400k.
