Where does one place the speakers in the front in a matiz?

the spark has locations on the dash, not so sure about the matiz

Well for 15k would recommend a Pioneer HU with front components and rear coaxials. About brands it depends on what you prefer. Options include illusion, JBL, Polk, etc.

The matiz has provisions for speakers on the front doors. Depending on the model, the doorpads differ. The top end variants can take upto 6.5" without any problem. The lower models may need removal of the stock speaker grills to accommodate anything bigger than 5.25"

@green horn- the speakers can b placed in d front doors....replacing d stock.

@pranave999- m thinking of jbl coz havn't heard abt illusion or polk much.

can u tell me which model of jbl speakers will b apt for my budget?

@ricky_1605, there are many brands and models that can be suggested, each having a slightly different characteristic. Unless you go out and audition them, you will not be able to figure out whether you like a suggested brand or model. It is recommended that you take time to audition the different possibilities, such as JBL, Blaupunkt, Illusion, Polk, Bull etc. before taking a call on which one to select. You really don't have to travel far - you could check them out in Freedabad itself, including a few TBHP members' cars.

and we;ll have to decide what sizes you'll be needing

I am thinking of pioneer HU and jbl speakers

Speakers- GT5 S396, GTO947 or T696 whichever suits the budget.

Can you tell me the approximate price of these speakers and HU
DEH-P5150UB, 4150SD and 5090?

Don't know anything about components.

If you are not using an amp, or planning one later, go for the GTO 938. The T696 is best used with an amp. The 6x9 ovals have to be in the rear on a parcel tray.

Components are a set of mid-bass driver (that's where you need to check the stock mounting size before buying) and tweeters. The tweeter would be mounted (if there is no stock provision already) on the base of the A-pillar facing across the cabin, i.e. the driver's side tweeter pointing at the front passenger's ear and vice versa. Front speakers are recommended for the sake of the front stage/image, without which the listening pleasure is rather incomplete. Components give a far better image in the front than co-axial speakers.

Depending on the stock provision in the door (you would need to take out the grill and measure at the mounting location on the door), you could use JBL GT5-500C / GTO508C if 5.25", or the GT5-650C / GTO608C if 6.5".

Can you tell me the approximate price of speakers-
Coaxial - GTO 938, GTO 947
Component - GT5-500C, GTO508C, GT5-650C, GTO608C
Pioneer HU - DEH-P5150UB, 4150SD and 5090?

also can i go with the stock wiring for comp and coaxials (without amp)?

yes. stock wiring - if it is still intact, should be fine :)

now i am confused between pioneer and kenwood HU? can anyone tell me which one will be better (with model number please) in 6-8k bracket?
