Icing the ANHC
(
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/car-entertainment/60919-icing-anhc.html)
Could the Gurus please tell me whether the base model of the ANHC can be ICED or not. Will I have to face any problems. I have not seen the car personally but heard there is no proper place given for a HU and also does it suffer from the same ELD problem the Civic suffers from.
Thanks in advance.
The HU should not be a problem.
The ELD problem depends on what configuration you take.
What's your budget and what types of music do you listen to?
My budget would be around 65 - 70K.
I listen to Hip-Hop, Psy and House mainly.
What is an "ELD problem", @mohitd?
From the look of the dash, there is a 1DIN slot where the OE HU (with the ghastly red display) is fitted. The space below it accommodates and HU controls. Even a 2DIN should be possible with a fascia adapter.
You have a decent budget. Would you want a powerful wake-up-the-neighborhood sub too? Hip-hop without sub would be like phuchka without the spicy water.
I completely agree to the fact that a aftermarket HU can be installed with a Fascia adapter but is one available for the ANHC in th Indian/international markets?
Yes, the adapter is available. In Bombay, the showrooms themselves sell these for about Rs. 3500/-.
I do not know about ELD problem but having installed a powerful mono in a CIVIC working without any issues. Will be putting a 2 mono setup in a CIVIC soon will update you the results...

The ELD should tolerate a 70x4 4ch. + 300W monoblock like the Kenwood 8404/9104, JBL 1004/14001, Steg 4-01/2-02, Genesis Prof4/Sub or maybe even a single high power class D amps like the JL 600.4 or Brax X4.
I assume the ELD is in effect a current limiter and if you are sensible you should be able to get away with a pretty good and powerful system (no waking the neighbours though).
Thanks a ton guys.
@ Deralte : I hope abibh answered your question and yes I would love to have a sub that could wake up the neighbourhood.
Has anyone heard the ID CTX12 Sub.
Yes, he did.
If you want to wake up the neighborhood, 2 of any sub will do (at that level you wouldn't be able to sit in the car for long anyhow). I would think IDQ12 would be a better choice than the CTX12 - would play well at both low and high volume levels. See if you can have them mounted on either side of the boot (plenty of pics on the forum) saving boot space for yourself. Alternatives are Ground Zero and JBL (and plenty of other subs with less / no support in India).
I am thinking of the following setup :
Front Speakers - JBL Power Series/ Rainbow - 12000
Sub - ID CTX12 - 8500
Mono - Panasonic CY-PAD1003 - 10000
4Ch. - JBL 1004 - 12000
I am not being able to decide on the HU and rear speakers.
So that leaves me with about 20000 for the HU, Rear Speakers, Wiring and damping.
I know its impossible to get all of that in 20K so please help me out.

One side has a fuel tank so you have to compensate for that.
Single ID CTX 12" sub won't be sufficient in the ANHC. Myself auditioned ID CTX single sub sealed in my NHC. It is a rocking sub, great SQ, Bass response pretty good, but output/loudness is too low on a single sub. Two ID CTX is awesome, IMO.
