ICE for Hyundai Accent

Hi BHPians,

My best friend who lives in Blore, needs help in ICEing his ride

Since he is unaware of the terminology so I am posting on his behalf.

As for now we would be installing HU and Front Compos, the amp and sub goes in later.

I have suggested him the following setup:
HU : Clarion DXZ785USB / Eclipse CD3200 (if he is able to source it from US)
Speakers: Illusion Audio EL 6.1

Please let me know any other combination if he is unable to source HU from US

And also let me know the name and numbers of the installers in Blore, Blueraven please PM me your number.

The advice I'd give is to listen to atleat 3 brands before making a decision. Your taste might not be his taste.

Yes Naveen Ji, I fully agree with you.

He needs a SQ setup, not SPL and since he has planed to install only front compos for the start, I suggested him Illusion EL 6.1 since they have excellent mid bass

Can components set be run of the HU only without an amp for SQ.
I thought that even though it can work, but for SQ, one should add a amp.

Correct me if i am wrong.

truely the new electras have amazing mid bass. The vocals and highs are so melodious that it doesn't feel like a 7k speaker but worth much more. The clarion is definitely better than the 3200 but the eclipse is easily available in india (INR 8500). If he can source it from US then , clarion is the one to go for.

IMHO amp + speakers is not a standard to judge SQ

I have already mentioned that he would be going for Amp and Sub later

I totally agree with Yayaati.
An amp is not a dead standard for SQ. Obviously you get a better SQ with an amp.
I have heard setups running a pair of compos up front and coax / 6x9 at rear powered off HUs like the 6050 , 6539 , 5050 and they sound good.
