Finalized Audio for Swift VDi

Hello Bhpians,

I have decided the following finally for my Swift

Head Unit : Poineer DVH-P4190UB - ( I think it has front USB and built in Bluetooth) - Around 13,299/-

Front : Polk db6501 6.5" components
Rear : polk db691 6" W x 9" Coaxial Speakers - Oval

AMP : 2x80 watts kicker Polk audio - Around 12,000/-, Is AMP required really ? I don't want to increase my budget here ?

Subwoofer: Is this required ?? ( I don't listen at very high pitch)

Cables and Basic Damping on the front door: I have no idea about the price, let me know which brand cables are of good quality.

Suggest me and let me know.

Thanks,
Prabhu

One gets a very decent 4-channel amp for half the price. A sub completes the full musical picture.

Isn't 4190 aroung 8K?

1. You should be able to find quite a few 4-channel amp options under 12K - e.g. Kenwood, Blaupunkt, JBL, Bull Audio
2. If you do not have rear passengers in your car very often, you may want to ditch the ovals and get a sub instead. as DerAlte said, a sub will complete the musical picture i.e. it will reproduce the low frequencies better than ovals or anything else....
Budget sub brands - JBL, Bull Audio, GZ etc
3. If you do the above, you can use 2 channels of the amplifier for the front components and bridge the other 2 to the sub.

For the average driver/passenger, a basic 4 speaker setup is usually the best.

If you've never had a sub before you're not going to miss it. Most people consider the bass produced by the rear ovals sufficient for their needs.

Therefore what I would suggest to you would be:

Front: Polk Momo components (They are leagues better than the db series)
Rears: Polk db 6X9 ovals
Amp: JBL, Panasonic, JVC or Kenwood. (These brands are value for money and are built well)

Currently Panasonic and JVC amps are available at very decent prices, and we've found them to be very good and VFM.
