I own a baleno altura model, pioneer 5050ub, jbl 638 rear and stock front(nippon) i believe.
The wiring is default which means almost 7 years old, the 638's sort of crackle at higher volumes, could just be a bad installation but can it also be attributed the the wiring ?
Planning to get the front changed, what do you guys recommend?
I'm not much of a bass fan but would like more clarity, does an amplifier without a bass unit make any sense? If yes, which one.
Work will be done @ driven, east of kailash.
Are second hand amps reliable ?

@ Akshay , See if you can find a pair of JBL 608C components for that price it would be a better deal than a co-axials I believe it costs around 4.5K

@ Sukrit7 , At high volumes the 638's may crackle due to the power output from the head unit, adding an amp might solve the problem, go in for a pair of component speakers up front and amplifiers don't come with any bass unit.Second hand amps ? I still have a 14 year old sony Xplod 6 channel amp and it works fine. !!

Under 4K Alpine E & S type 6.5" co-axials sounds pretty much sweet.

their crossovers also have two settings. make sure they were not set to the brighter one. Having said that , I think blaupunkt has some comps which might fall in that price range. Else you can try second hand

else coax will do fine . Why not hertz

Thankyou, i didn't mean an amp with a bass unit inbuilt, i meant do people use one without installing a bass unit.
I think i'll power the rear speakers with an amp then, sounds fine ?
