6k = 6*1000 = Rs 6000
6 speakers = 2 front speakers, 2 rear, 2 front tweeters.

I want to go in for the jbl x333 for my M800. Right now I'm just about satisfied with the quality of the Pio 4290 + Boston Comps on my i10, so, what would be a good pair of 4" speakers for around 2k apart from the basic 4" JBL??

A subwoofer will NEED an amp.

Just get 4 speakers for Rs. 6000 (6K). 2 for the front and 2 for the rear.

Hi,

Funny situation.

In our 4 year old Indica Xeta with a 4 year old All Sony setup, 4" in front and 6x9 at the rear, all powered by the HU, the front speakers are way over powering the 6x9s. The 6x9s are barely audible till the fader is set to half way to Rear. Exactly opposite to my case in Esteem, where the rear were over powering the front.

Are the 6x9s not getting enough power form HU in the Xeta? Need to add an amplifier?

Another thing, the car is in Visakhapatnam and there are no radio channels playing Hindi songs and Dad loves to listen to Radio. We used to burn CDs and play in the deck, but since the cd drive failed, there is no way to play. The HU does not have a USB. Is there any way I could add a worldspace kinda radio to the Car?

I need help in comprehending the below mentioned dimensions of a ported enclosure for an ID CTX 124 sub (12"). These dimensions are suggested in the manual for the sub.

I wish to get this sub in the largest possible enclosure (ported) since boot space isn't an issue.



Another question, the volume for both the audiophile & universal ported enclosure is the same but the dimensions change, what is this all about?

Suddenly the left front channel on my JBL 75.4 amplifier gave up.

i could hear sound only from right speaker.

i asked one person to check it up and he said that he changed some parts TCP 35 36 or TPC 35 36 pair. i dont know what these parts are.

i think they might be the mofsets.

he is asking for 1100rs for these parts now. are the mofsets so costly?

are the above, rights parts required to get the channels working?

pioneer 3190
jbl front speakers 5.25"
jbl rear gto 947
jbl gt5-s644
jbl basstube.
I have brand new pair of CDT HD 62 components also.my question to you is that, should i sell my whole system from accent and cdt aswell.Then should i go for new whole ICE?.cause these cdt will not work good with gt5-s644(i think).and right know im tight on budget and cant upgrade.
Please suggest me good ICE in budget of 45-48 max.please

The port tuning has changed. The shorter tube will mean a high F3 (only slghtly as the difference is slight) but also will mean better transient response and less ripple.

The best person to ask such a question is Sam Kapasi. This is purely technical questions and without seeing the amp physically and having the schematic of the 75.4 handy it would be difficult to get a correct and complete answer.

HI Guys

I am also planning to upgrade ICE of my Tata Safari. I am planning to go for Infinity REF6530CS components rated 90 W rms at 2 ohm. I am also planning to go for Infinity REF1260W sub rated 300 W rms at 4 ohms. I am planing to power all these with single 4 channel JBL GT5-S644 amp. Also I intend to retain the OE speaker in rear doors powered by the HU itself. I am also changing the OE alpine HU to pioneer 9350(alpine has only one pre-out).

Now my plan is to power the front components through two channels of the amp and bridge the rest two to power up the amp. Since I am no audio techie, I would like the Gurus to enlighten me as to how do I go about matching impedance/resistance/bridging channels etc. If you thing the amp is inadequate then please suggest me another but the amp budget is restricted to 8000 Rs. Is JBL 1004 available still? Its not listed in the site. The total budget without HU is around 22K.

Also I would like to install the front components in the doors without any metal cutting. Is it possible with the said components? Gurus can suggest some other also. I am not sure if Safai door can accomodate 6 or 6.5 inch components. Also is it required to go for damping.

Since I live close to Delhi (300 km-Gwalior!!!), any good installer to get it done neatly.

what is this all about?

There is no polyfill. The rest of the differences are too small to worry about, actually. I assume the 0.3" longer port is only to compensate for the volume reduction by taking out the polyfill.

I strongly suspect the best behaviour will be encountered in the largish sealed enclosure. With cabin gain and enough power, the response will be the most linear of all.
