awesome sam!!! but i guess u should have posted this as a new thread bcoz looking at the rate at which posts are being made here it would be very difficult to find this particular page when needed..instead once ur thru with all the segmants create a new thread and post them one after the other and then the others can commnet on this..this will save us time of having to search each page on this thread to locate this post..and it will be easier as ur entire advise would be the 1st 3 or 4 posts on a new thread on all segments followed by the users comments..look into this pls for easy navigation for people like me on dialups..

LOL, Navin... I wudnt mind buying a becker, if it comes for 40k... And that would be for my next car, few years from now... I'm only tooo content with the Alpine for now. Thanks :p
And i was looking at the Monza mp3 model, only to find that they don't sell in India cuz no one would buy. I understood why ;) Love those glossy buttons on it tho..... lol

to really get bass (well denifned bass not the boom boom rattle you often hear) you will need a good box/tube sub and amp. unfortunately we cant defy the laws of physics.

I might sound naive (which I am) but since I like the Bass part so much, how do i select a box/tube sub and amp for my music system
I am not sure how naive this is but any help is appreciated
You'll have to set yourself a budget for an amp and sub. Are you willing to spend another 10K on your system?

does it have to be 10K I mean I think I can definitely add another 5K or so, but if I was to add another 10K what do I have to procure for my car
I hv never done this before, My Ikon came with a Kenwood and it is still pretty good but the one I have in my Palio just isnt measuring up
Well for a little under 10K you could get a 4 channel amplifier and a subwoofer for your car.

Sam ji... Just got off the phone with Sridhar's sales exec [Sajith].. Hes telling me that the 50.4 is to stop now and a 60.4 amp is going to be entering the JBL 2005 line-up from Monday... Wuuuuddd this be correct info??
Now i'd have to wait till monday :( Sridhar does not have stock of 50.4 nemore.... Baaahhh.. talk about killing someones excitement...
I can think of a sony 502 and a 12" JBL tube that would cost about 9.5K right sam?

i have a sony cdx7500 HU and a one GMX X324 pioneer amp.
i want a sub 2 in my car.
should i go for mdf panel for 936 and a sub? or shall can use the rear
pod provided for speakers, though i am not sure abt the size of teh speaker tht would fit in it .

For 5k you can go with a Sony mono block 502Z for 2.5k and a Sony sub model 122 for 2.5k.
