All in all, this guy from milan subway is asking for 13.5k.

I read a thread on fake JBL's, how can i assure that i dont buy fakes? and also if there are any specific dealers, please suggest.

I am willing to spend around 14K for my audio setup.

many a sub will do this. you just need to tune the sub right.

get the sub in a correct box, powered by a good amp, and eqed to taste so really what I am saying is before you choose the sub, choose your installer.

Hi Guys

I have a pair of Alpine Coaxials installed in te rear of my Opel Corsa Sail. The speakers have not been hosed with screws since there is a "turn and lock" mechanism in my Opel speaker console.

The last few days, I have been hearing a bad vibration in the rear left. It begins only when i turn up the volume over 25 on a pioneer HU with aux and USB support. It is a long drawn process to remove the plastics. My last resort is to drive to Autoshop over the weeked and get the whole thing opened.

Any advice on this?

My wife has a Sail and I still have no idea what you are refering to. A picture would help.

I have a question: In a sedan, does it make considerable difference in sound if you cut out a small square/rectangle section in the parcel tray?

What I mean is, will it enhance sound if a 3 box car is turned into kind of a 2 box with this cut out?

See when you have a sedan , and the bass kicks in , the kick is produced in the boot.
and the boot and the seats are not in the same compartment.
They have to travel through the back of the car and due to the substance , much of the kick remains inside the boot and effectively you don't get that kick.

However if you are in a hatch , the seats and the boot is in the same compartment and the kick travels in the upward direction and spreads in the entire compartment. ( ensuring almost 100% transfer)

If you get a small section cut in the tray , what you will have is a semi hatch kinda thing ( not exactly semi but somewhere close )

The cut off section will act as a connector between the two compartments and will help transfer extra kick into the seating area

I'd assume
That if a sedan gives 1 pt kick ( Assumption ) ,
a hatch would give 2 pt
a notchback like octavia , laura : 1.3-1.5
and a small cut out section : 1.25

now thats the most detailed "kick" values ive seen:D

ive always liked the idea of going "ported" in a 3 box car if you dont have enough power

Most of the difference will be in the midbass (50-80Hz range) you can make a 4-5" hole and cover it with a speaker grill.

More light on the above please? What exactly does "not enough power" mean?

I have a Pioneer 306DVC running off a Audiobahn A8002T amplifier, feeding 400W RMS to each coil from either channel (so that's 800 RMS @ 4 ohms going to the sub).

I had a 1 Cu. ft. sealed box earlier, which I recently changed to ported enclosure (full slit on one side).

Bottom line is, I am very UNHAPPY with the bass reproduction since beginning. Pio 9650 has too many setting that I can't understand.
