Kenwood 8401 available for 5.5/6k in grey.
Yes, JBL 1204 is a good option for the sub.
Go ahead.

My lights (all ones, headlights, cabin lights, even dashboard lights) gets dim when I play my music sytem with higher volume. It happens whenever at heavy bass.
I am having a Blaupunkt MP47 HU, Blaupunkt THC662 components, Blaupunkt 4" Coaxials, Kenwood 8401 Amp, and a Bull Audio Subwoofer.
Front two channels of the Amp are driving the front comonents and rear two are bridged for the Subwoofer. Wiring kit is of Bull Audio, and the speakers wires used are of Kicker.
I have also got a new battery last month, so that should not be a problem.
Can anyone suggest what going wrong here.

all plans shelved. car going in for overhaul. including gearbox,, silencer, suspension and brake pads. total bill of 6k. :(

thinking about getting the sub alone and the amp next month.

@hsraghav.
Get your grounding and the wiring checked. What guage wiring have you used?
I suppose the install was done at DRIVEN. Get in touch with the installers and sort out the issue. I'm sure they'll be happy too. :)

Of course you do, like I own DRIVEN and distribute Kenwood! lol:

Guys A friend has recently bought an iPhone he was asking if he can use the iPod cable for his HU using iPhone. It beats me why would he use an iphone as ipod but still.

Yes he can. I had used my iPhone to play music in Zak's taxi and connected it to the HU via the Alpine cable!

Oh ok, so it gives same control from HU as it gives for iPod for songs?

Depends on the HU & the cable he's using. Even in Alpine I believe there are two types with one giving full control & the other not so. But, if he can already control the iPod from the HU then he can control the iPhone too.

Techno, whats the HU in question ?

No idea man, it seems he has a cable which he uses with his iPod currently.

you can also use your ipod and iphone as HU'S if you know how. IPOD -> Stand -> digital out -> RCA -> AMP -> SPEAKERS -> PASSTHROUGH -> AMP -> SUB! And voila we have audio.

@Technocrat -

I use my iPhone as a iPod when in the car. Works perfectly just like using a iPod. So if he is using his current iPod with his HU, chances are he would be able to do that with the iPhone.

And whats wrong in using the iPhone as a iPod in the car ? After all its meant to be a Phone + iPod in one :)

Thanks Speedzak,

The install was quite neat one, grounding was done with a very heavy bolt.
Anyways I am waiting for a Subout Cable from Blaupunkt, Once the setup is complete, I will post the pics. Will visit DRIVEN shortly.
