Hi guys I have a stock 6cd changer system/3 in one in my Corolla but it sucks bigtime. I want to upgrade the system & have following changes in my mind:
HU - MP3/ AUX in/ USB/ BT, Single din, 5-10k
Front door speakers - OE ones only, no change.
Rear speakers - ones which fit in original setting
Woofer/sub - to be placed in boot
Amp - 2/4channel which gives output to both rear speakers & sub.

Budget - 15-20k, if the above system can come cheaper, Im game!
Also, suggest something to cover the original slot left over due to removal of 2-Din system in lieu of single din.

Thanks

I need some one to help me with a good ICE tuner for a JL Audio setup in my honda civic, some one who is reasonable and knows his job, prefereably in western suburb, please recommend at the earliest.

Cheers

There is a kid (actually I think they are 2 brothers) on Carter Road in Bandra near the cafe coffee day the other is a palce called bass.com, still is another is a place between SV road and linking road just as SV road and linking road split, then there is Jacob Koshy @ JB. B&T and Sam are familiar with names, places and numbers and such.

Jacob Koshy used to be in Bandra then he moved to Santa Cruz now I told he's back in Bandra this is why I thought B&T or Sam who are locals will know better.

Zohir- yet that's his name. He called me "Uncle" so I figured 2 can play the game. :-)

Please suggest me ICE for innova Under 40k (max 50k). Looking for 2 sets of components, 1 sub(do i need 2 ?), 1 mono and a 4 channel. HU will be stock for a few months.
I am looking for speakers that can play house really well. I need nice tight bass, loud mids and very smooth highs (i find jbls very harsh). Unfortunately I cannot audition too many brands here. So i will be buying based on your suggestions completely.

Will my 40k budget suffice ?
Basically i have been allocated 1L for the accessories.
petes and green filter 40k
tyres 12k
film 8k
and rest for ice.
Do i need to damp the innova ?

Is it better i Ice in stages ?
What should i get in stage 1 (definately need a sub)

Thanks.

I know this is the wrong place to ask this, but is 12k enough for the tyres?
Lets see
cheapest mono: 7K
cheapest 4 channel:6k
2x comps : 10k
boxed sub: 6k

I will be giving back the stock tyres under exchange.

Please suggest if I should just get a 4 channel 1 set of compos and a sub as a part of stage 1. We will be keeping the car for a while so it doesn't make sense to get the cheapest of everything only to realise it does not sound good and go for a complete replacement later.

Is 40k good enough for stage 1 ? I am looking for an spl setup basically but it should be SQ when i need it to be (are these 2 completely contradicting statements ?)
As a part of stage 2 i can get a mono and another set of components. Maybe if i feel the need i can add another sub too.
Finally stage 3 will be a HU upgrade. I know this is the most important part of the system but i plan to bring back a HU from the US next summer.

And finally do i need to damp the innova ?

Also: Since i will be using the stock HU for a while are my options with regards to the amp any way limited ? Can i use a bass control knob in stage 1 ? i.e with a 4channel amp powering the sub.

it wont be easy running a monoblock and a 4 ch amp off the HU. Better use an amp with speaker level inputs OR a level adapter

Is it because the HU does not have rca preouts ?

Can i connect a 4 channel amp to the stock HU as a part of stage 1.
Can you suggest a good quality amp that i can connect to the stock HU. I am guessing it does not have pre outs at all.

Will this be a good buy ?

Need help on tweeter location install

Need quick help.

i have wagonr which was ICED yesterday with only the front comps. however i believe there was goofup in installing tweeter.
the tweeter location is on front door, but on the extreme top corner on respective doors, making the tweeter to be hidden behind the dash. (ac vents of wagonr)
if door is closed, the tweeters are not visible.

i was shown some wagonr install pics, where the tweeter is clearly visible even if door is closed.

i was told that this is an experiment n the reflections would help sound good. although i was told about this experiment only at the end of work :(

but i have never seen such install here. can anyone confirm if this setup makes sense or if it has been goofed up?

will post pics asap.
