Verna
I want clear sound, good bass, no distortion or bass reflex.
I prefer trance, psy and hip hop.
Yep, I want 1 and can sacrifice the boot space. No problem with that.
I want a single din HU.
And I do not want to exceed 75K.

Yes it has started from today till sunday. However i dont think much of ICE would be there as i have been going to this expo from many years and last year it did not had any ICE in there expo, so i dont think much would be there this time. I think more stress it given to LCD's as you can find almost every kind of LCD there.

yess boss agreed! i was there the WHOLE day today, was on duty with my own company.....

theres hardly any ICE stuff there. mostly LCDS and home theaters

but ppl, u know this is off topic but, if people go there, definitely visit the logitech stall. they have this one 5.1 speaker set called the logitech Z5500.

just go and listen to it guys..... its MIND BLOWING!

i assure you, i is better than ANY of the Sony home theaters.

just try it out. i would have bought it long time ago, only no place at home for that massive woofer!

AFAIK, last year's AV Expo in Mumbai (Goregaon Exhibition Grounds?) had a display outside with lots of ICEd cars. I think even Ajay (B&T) was there.

For trance, hi-hop bass reflex is a good option.
Pio/Alpine/Kenwood HU: 10-12K
Front components and rear coax speakers from Illusion, Infinity, etc..: 16-18K
Monoblock + 4 ch: 16-18K (10-11K for monoblock, 6-7K for 4ch).
2 x 12" ID Subs: 16-18K (I think they go for 8-9K each)
Damping: 8K
Wires and Install: 8K
------
74-82K

I was thinking of a pio 5090 - 8500, JBL BPD - 25000, JBL front component - 6500 and rear 6*9 speakers - 10000, JBL mono - 20000 and 4 way - 14000 amps.
Is damping necessary.
Can someone please enlighten me on the need for damping.
What are coaxial speakers and how are they different form 6*9 ones.
Thanks.

you are spending a lot on the sub and amps and too little on the components. THis system will be loud but the frotn sundstage will be obliterated at high volumes.

Boss audio is not considered to be a good brand when it comes to ICE. You'll find opinions about it in various threads here. You can do a search and that will pop you into some good information.

Basically, the BOSS brand is a sure sign that a product is a cheap rip-off and worthless. Not only when it comes to ICE but in everything else.
