If you could get someone to bring you a Clarion DXZ 785 USB from the US. It costs < 10K INR if bought there.

Both Pio 8650 or 8850 are definetly available in grey. There is one for sale in the classifields also.

But still, if you can get a clarion 785, that the best at about 8k approx

8850 is 10k or 11k (not exact)

dxz785usb is a US model and dxz786usb is Asian model. You can ship it to Germany and ask your friend to carry. But doing this will take away its VFM tag. Try for 8850 in Germany as well. May be cheaper than India if you get it.

Now I am just wondering.............. If there is a Pioneer head unit i.e. 8850 & 8650 available in the market and that too for less than 10k, why is everyone on the forum recommending headunits like the the Pioneer P880, Alpine 9887, etc which cost a whooping 20k+ ??

P80RS, Alpine etc have far better sound quality than 8650, 8850 etc. In any case, the 8650 and 8850 weren't cheap when they were available anyway. Both were in the region of Rs. 15-18k if I'm not mistaken, because of the fancy color display etc.
