The patience has finally paid off - "greta" looking "installa"

Those rear speakers are now just show pieces right?
Enjoy the theater and please for God's sake, hold on to this equipment for some reasonable time.

The Q ! when's the upgrade?
Nice install - am happy you chose to invert the sub, shows it off to advantage, albeit in a slightly suggestive way :p

I noticed, that there is space to symmetrically mount another RA20 in future and do away with the crossovers :D
NICE !!!
Well done Franky. Now enjoy ICE !!!!

When can we come to hear it?:) |
thank you. You are always welcome to hear it, but it would be better to harness the abilities of the system after the speakers have run in (about 20-30 hours)

boot=:eek:
does the sub get in the way of taking out the spare tyre? |
Thank you sohail.
The setup has been designed in such a way that the spare wheel is easy to remove. Without much effort.
The cardboard platform in the boot, over the spare wheel has been cut, so has the carpet above the board.
The rubber mat that used to be on top of the carpet sadly needs to be disposed :Frustrati

Good to see you got what you wanted. Are you facing any problems in terms of access to the spare tire or you guys cut out a new board for that? |
Thank you so much. In terms of access, it's perfectly designed. No hassles.

It indeed looks amazing. I can't comment on how it sounds, since I am in the process of tuning the speakers myself. The maestro will tune them the next time he meets me.

Keep the subwoofer literature in car you might need its support to tell police its only a speaker.
why is tweeter pod taking time? where is the fuse which delayed the whole thing?
Are you going to miss the luccents anymore? |
Thank you sir. I will have to heed to your advice. LOL. You never know with these security guards! rl:
Tweeter position needs to be set. But first, they need to be burnt in. SO once we get the optimum sound from them, we shall experiment with different positions, and finally fabricate the pods accordingly.
There are 2 fuses in the car, one for each amp. But I have hidden them from the engine bay and placed them behind the dashboard in order for the Ford guys not to take advantage of anything in 'voiding' the warranty.
The luccents will ALWAYS be missed. There is no doubt about that. Though i am using speakers that cost 3 times the Luccent speakers, the sound is not going to be that much better (not by 3 times, but I can say that the tweeter is really detailed, and sub kicks like there is no tomorrow. Midbasses, according to reviews, need to be burnt in by about 30 hours to perform to their full potential. So waiting for that!)

There is no doubt about the skilled labour and thought process that has gone into the install. I have never seen such a chirpy fellow in my life. He will do some work for 2 hours, and then ask you for your opinion. If you say yes, he will love it, but, if you say no, he will not even flinch once, and repeat the SAME work with the SAME dedication till he makes you happy.
Also, this fellow doesn't EVER see the clock. He can go on working till he gets light and electricity for his tools.
Ajay bhai has hired a gem. He is super talented and does things without even being told. He treats the car like it's his car, and makes sure that the warranty is not voided. He HAS NOT CUT a single wire in the car, and even the stock speakers wires have been tied with cable tie.
He is a creative fella, and seeing him work for 5 days in a row makes me stop and admire the enjoyment he gets, even doing his daily work.

thank you Vigsomji. I appreciate your keen interest in the car and it's ICE :thumbs up
The system is not yet ready to pound away, and there is not going to be much pounding that I will be doing. It's for long listening hours with minimal invasion to the ears. That's why the unique combination!
I will not be making much changes to this configuration, plainly because I would not want to keep opening up my car again and again. I am through and would wish to keep this equipment for a longer duration than earlier.

Thanks Bong. The sub is HUGE and hiding it in an even larger enclosure was not what I had in mind. Anyways, it looks beautiful this way and I would like to keep it like this unless Dad doesn't approve.
There is place for upgrade, but NO funds. I am absolutely strapped. I could be seen begging outside my lane soon.

First, let me thank you AGAIN. For that help. I would have been stuck without your help.
Yes, I will enjoy the ICE. Thanks sir!
Nice install franky, any thoughts on the rears ? what did you do with the OEM head unit ?
What I really liked, stock look with the sub woofer. Additionally, what precautions do you take when you place luggage in the dicky ? or you will never? (chances of luggage hitting the sub?)
Nice seat covers, are they stock or you got after market covers ?
cheers frankie, nice install ! sounds great too.

The rears were never needed. Ever since I got the Luccent combination in my Esteem, I haven't missed the rears. I would appreciate if they were there, but I don't have the budget. Plus, finding speakers that match the fronts and don't 'degrade' their quality is also a big challenge.
Also, my Eclipse is a deadhead. Hence no internal amplification. Which means that i would have to buy wiring, RCA's, competent speakers and A DAMN amplifier just for the rears.

OEM head unit might go in the Zen. IF a neighbour (who also owns a Fiesta) wants to take it to replace his single DIN CD player (Ford), then he is welcome. Then we shall get a Pioneer Single DIN with USB.

I will make sure I place soft luggage in the boot. Technically, there is NEVER any luggage in my boot, and if we do place something its for a short duration. Hence the boot (hence luggage hitting the sub) is not too much of a concern.

these are the stock body hugging seats of the Ford Fiesta S and the seat covers are also stock. Cool na?
An absolute marvel frank bhai. The setup is simply amazing and i can only imagine how its sounding right now. It will be get better in days to come. One question. I am also getting the same amp you are using Clarion DPX 11551. Where to get 0 gauge wire from along with 200amp fuse becuae crutchfield doesnt include them. :(
