Swift ICE - Need help with wiring

Fellow BHPians,
I have the following system installed in my Swift:

Rear:SONY Xplod XS-GF6932X
Front:SONY Xplod XS-GF1022X
Amplifier:SONY Xplod XM-ZR6042 4/3 Channel Stereo Power Amplifier
Woofer:JBL GT5-S12 Boxed

Got the HU + front and rear speakers with the car(for free)...
Recently i added the amp and the woofer.

BTW i know the system is not the best one around but its fine with me.

I wanted to know how to connect my HU to the amp?

currently the guy who did the install says he has put 2 speakers and sub on the amp but i think he has somehow put all four speakers and sub because when i use fade controls, at full rear i can only hear bass from the woofer and at full front all four speakers work.

when i saw the connections, front RCA from HU has been connected to front rca on amp and rear RCA from HU has been connected to rear rca on the amp. rear speakers have direct connection to the amp. HU is set to sub out.

Is this configuration correct ? Is there any place near Andheri (W) i can go and get this system checked and tuned ?

Thanks for having the patience to go through my entire post.

Use the HU to power 2 rear speakers and the amp to power the front 2 speakers and subwoofer. The amp will be used in 3 channel mode with the bridged channels being used for the subwoofer.

What is the make & model of the HU?

This seems wrong I think this is what he has done

First Pre-out - to Amp
Second Pre-out - to amp
Amp Speaker out - rear speakers
Amp Sub out - To Sub

Front speaker cables to front speakers (instead of rear speaker cables)

So now when you faded to front, both speaker out & pre-out are working & hence all speakers are working & when you fade to rear none plays.

Do as Navin suggested & it should be fine.

@navin:

Thanks, i agree with what you are saying coz that is shown in the HU wiring diagram but amp wiring system shows rear and sub should be connected.

also the front speakers are not as powerful as the rear 6x9 ones so do you still think i should connect front + sub to amp ?

can i have your valuable opinion on that?

@Technocrat;

Really stupid of me, not to mention HU...
it is:

SONY Xplod CDX GT560s

BTW
"
First Pre-out - to Amp
Second Pre-out - to amp
Amp Speaker out - rear speakers
Amp Sub out - To Sub "

I dont have any of these labeled connections on my HU
its just front L &R and rear L & R . And rear can also be sub out.

Thanks.

Friends,

even i have a similar kind of issues,
i have a JVC top end Double Din HU, and Pioneer 4 way speakers, and JBL Component in the front. Alpine 4 channel amplifier, 2400 watts, last week i changed the entire wiring, now when i give acceleration of my swift( the rear speakers are taking the engine sound )
i dont know how is this happening but when spoke with the guy he was telling that it happens when system doesn't have the earthing correctly.

but my question to him that how it was working earlier he tells that the Amp doesn't have the capacity(earlier i had 1200 watts). but it is now a bit high end, its doing the job like this.

he informed me that he will solve the problem by this wee.

i guess issue is with Amp. what do you say.

Note: if i don't connect amp there is no sound coming from speakers.

Lets look at it this way. You rear speakers are more powerful, they are also more efficient being tht they are using a big trunk as a box while the front are using the door cavity. Now if you send all htat power to the rear while you will be utillising the power more efficiently the powered rear speakers will completly drown out the front speakers.

By sending the power to the front speakers you compensate for the difference in efficiency of the front and rear speakers.

Does your HU have 1 set of pre out or 2 sets of preouts? Each set is 2 pre outs Left and Right.

Navin, thanks for putting things in perspective...I will get the wiring done in accordance to what you have suggested...

Finally i have also attached three manuals in this post...
1. AMP manual
2. Stereo HU wiring diagrams
3. Stereo HU manual.

If a better solution can be found by going through these, please advice.

special thanks to Ramie2400 for offering to tune the vehicle pro bono

Its always wonderful to interact with a community as helpful as TBHP.

Long story short Ramee2400 is an Aural GOD...not only has he tuned my vehicle to perfection but as a person he is warm and generous and infinitely kind...

Also if you live in and around Mumbai and its suburbs...Sound Factor in my opinion is your best bet in terms of ICE because as one of our member here has said before ICE is 10% choice of components and 90% installation...

and that 90% my friend not many people do as technically soundly and perfectly as the people at sound factor...

SOUND FACTOR ROX !!! THANKS RAMEE2400

Speedyracer,

All you need to do is fit a Filter ...its size is that of a matchbox and the rear speaker amp connections first go into this Filter and its output continues to the Amp, basically it comes inbetween your rear speaker input to the AMP, this will eliminate the hum thats picked up when in motion or acceleration, it costs around 300Rs,

Cheers,

Peter
