Need Amp for Safari

HEya Friends

From many days, amp decision is driving me nuts.

I Am not satisfied with the sound of the Alpine OEM HU and Speakers of Safari. I am still to hear any good bass with the factory fitted system.

I was looking for a System in the market, I am inclied towards a Pioneer woofer, forgot exact model number, but not able to get a good genuine amp.

All here is Desi China Made Alpine v12 amps selling for 1800 bucks.

I dont want that much BOOM BOOM all the time in car, just good sweet sound. But need backup to sometime have that Bass in car.

I want only one amp and one sub, budget 10k only.

EDIT: any place her eI can get pioneer GM7300 amp?

Hey GodFather,

Can you try out what FreeWheelBurning did to his Safari - that is damp it all around.

He is all praises of the stock system after just the damping. Since you say you are not a "boom" person, I think this is what needs to be done. And the budget for damping as per him was around 6k.

try a JBL Amp with Pinoeer sub...will be in your 10K budget. You may also wanna try 4 channel Silicon Amp...very good value for money I must say...I was suggested that by a car audio expert here (in business for over 10-15 yrs now) and I took a chance 3 years back...and trust me...till date it runs beautifully...

You could use a 2 channel amp to power your sub and you will be able to do the damping also within the budget of 10 K.
2 channel amp : JBl,kenwood,blaupunkt etc - 4000 rs(with bill & warranty)
sub : pioneer,jbl with enclosure as you like - 4000-5000 rs(with Bill & warranty)
damping or good wires : 1000 -2000 rs

PS : If you buy a 2 channel amp,it may become a problem when you are upgrading.

You'll find the list of installers somewhere in the ICE section - look for it and PM them. That according to me, is a good way to procure genuine stuff.
