Hi,

I recently purchased a Punto MJD EP which comes with a Blaupunkt audio system. The sad part is it doesn't come with a remote control :-(

While driving it is not always easy for the driver to play the role of a Disc Jockey. Is it possible to purchase a remote for this separately? I checked with Concorde Motors and they had no clue about it. I am not sure if the audio system has Infrared in it and if so whether it can 'talk' to a remote.

If you have any information/alternatives/suggestions, please do pitch-in.

Yes! Another drawback I found in the music system is that the main panel doesn't show the MP3 song title. The title and other song information can only seen by the LCD panel in the dashboard.

I would really be interested to know if I can replace the entire music system and fit in another and still have the Blue&Me work perfectly.

googling remote for blaupunkt head unit returned the following results. RC10H (link: Blaupunkt RC10H remote control), RC12H (link: Blaupunkt RC12h remote control)

Has anybody tried using them on the Punto head unit (D323)?

This is interesting. I wonder if the wire and black-button like thing is the IR receiver which needs to be hard-wired to the music system. It isn't very clear to me as of now.

if you really want to , get the wheel with steering mounted controls
