@panky12345 : Yes i'm looking at one IDv3 12" or two ID CTX 12" woofers. Debonair 600rms is still in the santro's boot

@jsrakkar : Thanx, I have just damped the front doors and boot as of now. Rear panels and rear doors are next.

@ jkdas : The ID CTX compos are very nice. I've heard rainbows in noidaboy and m4ugr8's car. The rainbow's tweeters are less brighter for sure, vocals a tad better. With CTX's i felt the sound was 'sweeter' and more defined ... the midbass kick is just awesome. Another thing the difference between a mp3 and a ACD is pretty evident now. Maybe its just me over analyzing !!

@Sound_Affects : Jasmeen yes the 8404 has enough power for the CTX CS65, i'm running just two channels, later i would bridge 2 channels and power em up!

8404 w/bill is around 8-9K

@ashthedivx : CarPC plan is on, thats why i have transfered the old HU from my santro.

@live2drive : Sure bro, anytime!

@StreetAddict : Connection audision wasnt available at gyro and it was proving to be expensive!! The installer at gyro is on leave therefore pramod was called over from driven on special request

@abhinav.gupta88 : Yes i believe they can take the bridged power, will do that soon, when you getting back ? december?

@ abhibh : Thanx! The CRDi is all that and more. I am liking the CTXs too ! brightness has been toned down and now its sounding killer!

@nitinralli : No pramod hasn't shifted to gyro. Will pm u !

@Faithless : thanx, thinking on a carpc ... your audition/drive is due! :P

I will be posting the cost split and pics of the interior and damping in a day or two.

I have a question, My HU supports ACTIVE network. What difference would it be if i go active ... 2-way active ? Is it gonna be noticeable ?

Active will sure make a difference if you tune it right, but you don't have to worry about tuning as you have Gunnu paaji there to tune the setup.

abhibh : The active settings were switched on, on the first day of the install and it was very complicated!! HW1 HW2 HW3 HW4 !! Btw today gunnu paaji did tweak up the settings on the amps, brightness is now controlled and the setup is sounding much better!

abhinav : Oye great december isn't far, Meets, meats, drives...

Congrats Sid
The setup looks interesting even though i don't know much about ICE.

Would like to audition the setup.

Why didn't you consider the JVC amp ?

Not by any chance.. The difference is quite audible when you use quality components.

@jasveen : Yaar lemme know when you drop by gyro or driven i would like to audition ur setup.

Update : Today i finally got my sub(s)!! Yep two of them in a sealed enclosure. It got late so the tuning and all couldn't be done. The Subs are ID CTX 12".

A Sneak pic.

Sadly my HU is giving some problems, the motorised panel is not working therefore couldn't change CD's and the CD inside didn't have any songs with bass !! uhhh... anyway more pics and review on the subs coming soon.

Nice install AZA this install reminds me of subhan's early days in ICE, 2 x ID subs then he shifted to 1 rainbow now we all know, I think its time to change the HU also as it is troubling you.

Enjoy.

Congrats aZa for the great subs! I too prefer the 2 CTX sub combo against id/idq sub as per my taste. Do post your experience of auditioning and selecting the sub setup and ofcourse the price-breakup!!!

Congrats again Sid. Nice choice of subwoofers. Heard 1 of them in Indigo on 8401 in .75 cuft box and was pretty impressed by the kick. Lets see if you go active in near future or not
