A little more feature rich HU for Toyota Fortuner

Toyota fortuner comes with a different music system and navigation unit in some countries (sorry don't remember the country). Doing a bit of google I found this link where such a HU was available.
TOYOTA FORTUNER NAVI TOYOTA DVD GPS FORTUNER NAVI : Buy Special Toyota Fortuner Navigation DVD System With HD Monitor- For TOYOTA Fortuner 2007-2009 - from IPmart.com

It might not sound better than the hi-fi systems like Alpine/pioneer etc, infact, Toyota music systems are generally dull, but I think it has following advantages
1. Looks completely homogeneous in the dash, does not look like a add on
2. steering control continue to work
3. add reverse camera feature still do not need additional screen
4. add multiple input
5. iPOD
6. Navigation

I am not sure if this is an OEM part for Toyota, but the spec seem very believable. Does anyone has experience in such mod.

I think this can do a bit to improve the plane jane interior of the fortuner, what say fello BHPians?

PS: I do not have any commercial interest in this.

Hi
'Expert' at karl bagh delhi deals with these systems. The name is ZULEX, which I think is made in Thailand. They have different models for Fortuner, Innova, Altis, camry...
I have enquired and the cost is around 22000 . .

I would be getting my Fortuner in a month or two and want to spruce up the dull dash with a good HU.
What 2Din HU would fit in the Fortuner dash perfectly? As the current 6CD in Dash HU looks larger than the usual 2Dins like the Pio-6050UB. In that case would one require to put a frame around it to fill in the gaps?
Also what resale can one expect for the OE Toyota 6CD In-dash HU if sold on the day of delivery itself?

That looks like the same HU in this thread:
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...-altis-gl.html
However I'm not looking for a DVD system, nor am I looking to spend 25k + on just a HU.
I'd rather put Pioneer or another brand that would be of good quality and look. Only downside is I will miss the steering controls !

Why dont you take the carputer angle? it will be a little bigger screen i guess 7" but it would suite the fortuner quite well.

Guys, any suggestions on this topic?

My Fortuner will be here in 10 days, need to shortlist the options at hand. Looking for a 2-Din from a reputed brand (not interested in Zulex, etc) does not need to be touchscreen but must look premium enough to enhance the rather dull dash of the car.
