Component speakers for hyundai i10

Dear Friends,

this is my first post on Team-bhp.
I want to install 6" or 6.5" component speakers in my i10. The current configuration is:
1 Head Unit: Kenwood KDC-MP6036
2 front blaupunkt gt series coaxials
3 Rear- Alpine type s 6*9 coaxials

The alpine ovals are decent but these completely overpower the front coaxials. Today i went to Driven as well as Gyro( in moti bagh), as i had read positive reviews about them on T bhp. Both suggested to go for Bull audio, but the price Rs 6100 w b/w for 6.5" comps seems to be high for bull audio, although i was impressed by their build quality. Both advised against jbl gto608c saying they are too bright.
I like to listen bass heavy songs( 50 cents, akon, enigma, punjabi etc)

Kindly suggest me some other options(infinity, kicker, hertz) also advise me whether bull audio is vfm at Rs 6100 w b/w mrp being Rs 6990.
My budget is within Rs 6000.

Thanks

Price wise, JBL 608C which is a GTO series (NOT low end) is an absolute steal for 4k.
SQ wise, there is a '-6db' switch on the 608's crossover. Switch it to -6db and listen to it. It sounds very very good.

Recently, a friend of a tbhpian in chennai wanted components and asked me to suggest a model. I suggested him the JBL 608. When he went for the install, the installer tried selling him boston and some other brands. I persuaded him into getting the 608 and he's absolutely happy with the JBLs.

Remember '-6db'.

I am using Polk Audio 6.5" Components and sounds good to me.
As mentioned by @nitrous, JBL608 is definitely good for the price. Couple of my friends have that in Swift and indeed they are good.

A friend of mine had bought BULLS for around that price only. It's a true VFM product. Try and get and audition first though before you buy anything.

Don't avoid a reputed brand because a dealer asked you to. I have heard great reviews about Bull, even though I've never auditioned them. IMO, JBLs are a little bright, but I still prefer them over Infinitys in my other car. At the end of the day, it is your ears that need to decide

Try Infinity Reference 6030CS or 6020CS, I got them in Bangalore for an awesome price of 6,800/-
Trust me the additional 800/- you will have to shell out will be worth it!!

Hi Friends

being busy, i was not able to update regarding my purchase decision.
Finally went to elegant auto lajpat nagar, auditioned jbl gto 608c, jbl gt5 series and kicker DS650.2 component speakers. GT5 series had no crossover adjustments so they were ruled out. JBL gto 608c had tight bass but were too bright for my liking. finally i setteled for kicker ds650.2 for Rs 5400 with b/w.(18 months warranty).
Installation was done by me at home.
the speakers have a tight and quick bass response. also they have high sensitivity, which makes them sound good even with a head unit.
the tweeters are fairly bright. crossover has 0,3,6 db adjustments.
with crossover at +3db and treble at 0,i was able to achieve the sweet spot.

the next upgrade would be 4 channel amplifier and a sub in a sealed enclosure. please suggest me some options, budget<9k.

i'l upload some pics.

I'm completely ignorant when it comes to components, but don't they have three components for low/mid/high freqs ? Yours seem to have only two...

@anku94, he has purchased 2-way components - they are the most commonly available ones. What you are referring to is 3-way components - which are rarer.
