Dell Inspiron Zino .. Use for a CARPC??

Disclamer: I dont know much about CarPC's so please pardon my ignorance on the subject:

Well gurus, I am considering a CarPC for my i20. My idea is ...

Get a reliable power supply, get a Dell Inspiron Zino Desktop.. For around Rs. 18000.

The details of the Zino are:
1) Atom n230
2) 1 GB RAM
3) 250 GB HDD
4) DVD RW
5) 17" monitor: Which I can use in my office..
6) Extremely small size
Height: 197.6mm (7.8")
Width: 197.6mm (7.8")
Depth: 89mm (3.5")

Inspiron Zino Desktop | Dell India

Then add a good powersupply and a good touchscreen.

What am I missing, what are the possible problems I can run into..??

@abhi. Assembled rig would be lot more cheaper. under 10K you can get MOBO+CPU , RAM , HDD. Spend rest 8K on Case,GPS,Bluetooth,DAC etc.whatever you want to have in your setup.

Carnetix P2140 support lots of mini-pc. but again this power supply would cost you around 150$. CarNetix P2140

Looks very cute and small. I don't see any problems at all. Just make sure you have enough vents for air flow.

@nisarg86.. getting a cute little cabby is a huge problem. Only these branded comps come with such neat little enclosures.

thats a bit of an inefficient/inelegant solution. ideally you're looking for a DC to DC solution

I have installed a similar desktop as a CarPC. It is a Zotac MAG ND01 Nettop. Usually these things are mounted behind a 46 - 52" LCD to play true HD content, but can be used as a normal day-to-day machine also. System configuration - 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Wi-Fi, Nvidia Ion Graphics. It takes a 19V DC power input. I sourced a 12V - 19V DC step up transformer adaptor for the same. It runs like charm now! Please refer to my thread on the same topic.
