I dont go to audio shows now. I love all of audio and dont want to be caught in the crossfire again. India is just as bad, there are guys who dont like people you and I like (you know the names) for reasons I just dont care for.
Its hard sometimes to get in a crossfire like this. I have been in similar situations and it feels very embarrassing.

The title of the thread would be renamed to "My Sub Repair Woes"

One Stupid Question to all Can i put one SQ and one SPL Sub in My Car and make them work with tuning point of view. Did anyone tried that?

Yes.. replicate all the gear as in LBM's car and you would be able to do that.

It is possible but the results of two different subs would not be very sweet.
Don't think about it. Not a good option.

Sounds lill funny but 150 DB is almost 6 times more louder then 132 DB so are you trying to compare it with your system. You can achieve 130 DB with a 300/400 watt sub but for 150DB i think you know.

DOes anywone know what frequency they measure these SPLs at? 400Hz or 100hz or 50Hz. The reason I ask is becuase 150db at 400Hz is a whole lot easier to produce than 150db at 50Hz. For the lower frequencies you ahve to move a lot more air to produce the same SPL. Woofers that are happy doing 150db at 200Hz will often complain if asked to do 150db at 50Hz.

I Found some videos on You tube they all have similar numbers like 150 DB @ 30 hz 39hz or so, Here are the videos.

Karan while I do not doubt the authenticity of the data I did not see the frequency mentioned on any analyser display.

I find listening to music at average levels that exceed 90db to not be fun. 150db must be painful, how do these guys even sit in the car at 150db+?

Besides all those vibrating body panels and car parts must be adding to the din! I can only assume that if these measurements were done at 30-40Hz they must have been done with the microphone very close (inches) away from the woofer cone or maybe inside the port of the bass reflex woofer boxes. The port being a helmholtz resonator will have a lot of output inside it, the output falls off rapidly beyond the ends of the resonator (read as 'outside the port').

FYI Everyone.

Sir ji , no doubt about LBM's Car , infact i have experienced first time TRUE SPL in his car only. i am just saying that even my car produces 132.4 DB.

Mine is measured on 80 Hz sweep.

Phaji why doubt. Yours is a great sounding car. So just chill...and sing bolo tara rara...Like Sam Bhai says..

And the SPL test was done on a sin wave sweep starting from I think 20hz to some where 80 hz or 100 hz. The peak was majorly found close to 50-55hz.
