JBL C608GTi MkII

Are these JBL C608GTi MkII components sold here in India? I have not seen many discussions revolving around this kit here in team-bhp. How do these sound like compared to the GTO or Power series? I'd like to know more about them! They look very mean in the pics, must be the ridged phase plug thingy.

Would they play well if fed only with 100W RMS instead of its rated 150W RMS?

Hi abhibh, i'm quoting your post here.

I have heard C608GTi and its midbass is very very good. Awesome kick, but unfortunately tweet and midrange was not according to my taste.
So are you saying that the midrange is kind of muddy/lacking clarity? What amps were powering them in the setup you've heard?

Also anyone know their price?

Since i'm not going for subs in my car i thought maybe these would be a good option.

Sankar; I would suggest you check out more ICE installs.

iPlay for example.

The GTi should be a different animal altogether as long as you're not into uber-laidback output that DLS,etc dish out.
That said, Why are you curious about this high-end JBL, all of a sudden, Sankar?

Nitrous, just curious I'm not into ultra laidback output, but i don't like it harsh either, like GTO608C series. My listening includes all kinds of music, but mostly include rock in its various forms, metal in its various forms, non mushy pop, a bit of dance music, then malayalam-tamil-hindi film songs etc.

A sub may not be possible in my car, and these are said to have a punchy midbass. 150W RMS into each set is no joke So...

But with the current equipment i can only push upto 100W RMS (x 4) without bridging (200W x 2 if bridged).

I found this video ineresting...
