How to connect IPod to Fortuner OEM system?

Hi Gurus,

I did search, and came across a product called XCARLINK.

How is the quality of this?

With this, will the factory steering audio controls work?

Where do I get this in Bangalore? are there any one who got it installed in fortuner?

I am not at all keen to use a FM transmitter kind of setup.

Any other recomendations?

Advance thanks for any help on this.

Regards.

Hi,

The website mentions the product to be quite promising, though I do not see it to be compatible to the Fortuner stock audio - You should check that out with some dealer before purchasing such a product.
They do mention control of the ipod from the stock audio system as well as the steering controls!

Though my personal suggestion would be to upgrade the HU and the speakers, which would not only give you the ipod connectivity but also superior sound and a plethora of other features.

I have an Innova and I'd upgraded my entire audio system. I found the stock audio to be incomparable to the Pioneer AVR that I'd installed.
