Sony DSX-S200 Digital Media Player

It seems that time has come when world is shifting from the CD Receivers towards USB as it did in case of Tape Receivers. I was amazed that Sony is also running into the race of Digital Media Players. It gives us lots of convenience. I just wanted to know whether anybody has purchased these receivers (DSX-200 and DSX-100), as one of my friends is planning to go for it in his Tata Nano. I think these are the only receivers which are available in the market. I don’t see these type of players from either Pioneer or Kenwood in the market yet.

Sorry Mods if I have started new thread, if already exsists please merge it

I have been advocating this sort of HU for a while now. Alpine (iDA-x series) has got Ipod capable recivers but they do not accept an ipod like the Sony does.

One thing I like about the Sony is that it still has a CD player.
Specs look quite good, but as most people know, it's all about the sound quality here.

Yes but it has only 2 pairs of RCA out. So unless one adds an external processor like the JBL MS8, Alpine 650, RF 360.2 etc.. one wont get a full array of audio control.

Raja, I think the sound quality of the system should be just good enough for the normal listener. It won't be able to satisfy the audiophile though. Since this was just for a setup in Tata Nano with this system and two speakers at front, if more another two at the rear.
