Is there a 'best' HU/amp/speaker? I thought it was a matter of personal opinion.

I guess PIO's are cheaper in the grey market. If you go for the B&W , it should be pricey.

well as far as the best HU's go i think McIntosh and denon makes some really good ones..so does nakamichi..but talking about those that are affordable in india id say the best got to be the alpines soon followed by the pioneers..

and like vivek said HU's, speakers, amps et all are a personal preferance..

for example navin loves alpine, rudra loves blaupunkt, jkdas loves jbl,i love hertz, sam lovessssss...no no not JBL but the pioneer P1Y why ?? bcoz its got dancing dolphins, aint it sam ...so u see each one has their own preferances be it logical or at times weird like sams..hehe..

I think when it comes to India, Pioneer is tried , tested and accepted... Its a novice way to say its the best but if anyone who has tried Pioneer high end units they know where it stands...I am among them coz for me its VFM than brands.

For people who didnt know that Pioneer has products that are in the league of the best try these head units out DEH P9300, DEH P90HDD, DEH P960MP ......for now.

you know what, if you frequent the car audio/stereo forums you might find that there is an opinion that the cheaper alpines outperfrom the cheaper Pio but the more expensive Pio outperfrom the more expensive alpines!

Alpine for me

I have Alpine 9830 installed and it is performing really well. Before finalizing on this, I did hear Blaupunkt, Sony. But I liked the clarity from 9830.

hi Guys -

we have been through this too often. There is no such thing as the best car audio system. One mans meat is another mans poison. Some companies dont make HUs some dont make amps. There can never be a conclusion to this discussion. Moderators at TBHP have closed atleast 3 similar threads before.
