Tried out the New Pioneer DEH-8350SD MP3 Player.
It in terms of sound feels identical to the 5250sd, has the same OEL display too, which is a good sign, at least the top end has not gone to dogs.
Will have to try the mid range models now,
Pioneer Singapore
Ive installed 3 of these 8350sd these ar same replica of the 5290sd and the 6350sd is similar to the 4250sd where as the 2350/4350sd are with the same basic features unlike 4350 has 2 pre-out and has crappy color changing options.
@Satya:
How would you compare the Pioneer 8350SD to the JBL X333 HU SQ wise?

Thats it!! I think you fell off your chair and got up after 2 minutes.
Seriously, damn, my panasonic was WAYYY better build quality than the current pioneer ones!!
Why any company will use different audio chipset for higher and lower models?, Electronics chips are cheap when produced in large numbers. I dont think sony or Pioneer or any XYZ co. use different chips for different models. The basic architecture always remain same, Features trimming and cosmetics is what differentiate variants. This is my own humble opinion.
I have been using a simple Pioneer USB headset and speaker combination and quiet happy with the sound quality without additional Amplifiers or huge speakers.
My only wish is that we get models manufectured in places like Thailand, Vietnam etc instead of China. The Made in China tag is somewhat demeaning and does not offer confidence.
That is a very misinformed statement. All the new Apple products are manufactured in China. In fact, most of the "high end" and "luxury" products are.
But there are "levels" of quality of the products Chinese manufacture. Lets hope Pioneer chooses "High Quality" stuff from these manufacturers.
*PS: I'm not from China :P

Been using Pioneer 4190SD for some months now. Have just used a simple Sony before and compared to that, find the joystick functionality needs little getting used. Its not very easy to shift to Albums to Songs to play list to etc. while driving. Maybe pressing a button would be easier. Apart from this, no complaints from it at all. Sound quality now with Rockford Fosgates front and rear is pretty good.

@blueraven So which entry level Car stereos would you recommend.
Whats your take on the JBL HUs?
Thanks for highlighting the issues with P2390.Cheers!

THe JBL 333 is decent for the price, I feel the 555 is well worth it, as the only thing you get at it's price is the Pioneer 2390, which does not sound good at all.

@blueraven316 any reviews on the Pioneer AVH-P3350BT?
All the AVH models sound really good, they are probably the best budget touch screens you can buy if you like your sound to be clear :)
I really do not bump, but i badly require some feedback's. :(
