Oops I too have this exact same BT receiver, M1000C. So if it doesn't work its no-go for me. Will try to source a touch to try out.

I'm having trouble getting the Holux sustain a reliable connection with my N8. I have the race Chrono software loaded in my N8 and it detects the Holux, but when i start a test it continuously asks to connect, which connects and then disconnects. The RaceChrono software can access OBD parameters too with a compatible ELM327 BT OBD interface. I think i'm gonna sell the Holux.

I am sure you must be aware but still, Have you paired ye N8 with the Holux? Also have you selected an option which would say something to the affect that it doesnt ask to connect after the initial pairing?
