Hello Bhp's,

I got installed JBL GTS-204 4 inch front speakers for my wagon R in May 2010 along with pioneer 2290 UBG.
Of late recently, i got distortion at some frequencies only at particular speaker(right), even though my left front was ok.

Both above was purchase at Auto-shop koramangala.
But, since speaker warranty was 1 yr. i informed auto-shop guys at koramangala to have replacement for me.
i have given speakers for service, but still i,am yet to get it back.
Auto-shop guys informed me; replacement will be done within 4 days.

But still, after 1 week. i,am yet to give me convincing answer; and asked me to come next thursday.

I,am left with only 3 speakers in my car.
I,am also wondering why auto-shop did not give me immediate replacement speaker for me (it is still within warranty).

Thats the beauty of warranty, do not worry it will get replaced. If not ask them to give you in writing the reason for not honoring the warranty. Also ask them to give you in writing the date on which you gave it to them for replacement.

Can't be called defective if it's worked fine for 7 months.
Could be dust. Might just need servicing.

Yup. The beauty of warranty. Don't worry at all. Maybe they're trying to see if it is a minor fixable problem. Follow up and insist, but don't worry. You're covered any which way, I'm sure.

Hi All,

for 2 Weeks. Nobody updated me about the status of my speakers.
Finally, i mailed to [COLOR=#0000ff]ashok.v@IndiaJBL.com [/COLOR]
within 5 minutes. I got call from auto-shop guys; speakers are ready and you can come and collect.

I really dont know, whether they have serviced my speaker or not.
I went to their shop and they fitted the serviced speaker to my car.
and tested for 20 minutes. But no distortion was heard-of.

Finally, i will evaluate and decided they have been properly service or debug the problem.

Nowdays, you cannot trust anybody

That's true. Don't trust anybody.

But I'm glad that your speakers appear to be fixed.
