Hello,

I have the top end Xylo with the DVD player installed.

1. Your Car: Xylo E8 (2+3+3) seater
2. Your current setup (If any): Factory fitted system with DVD player for movies mounted on the center ceiling
3. Your Budget: Rs. 20,000
4. Do you drive most of the time or is it chauffer driven? Drive myself
5. Your Music preferences (Genres, favorite artists, etc.): Rock/Hindi/Pop .
Additional Information:
6. Are you ready to sacrifice your boot space/modify door panels? : Not door panels.

Since it is a brand new Xylo, I am assuming I don't need a new HU. So here are my questions:

1) Do I need an amplifier and a woofer only ?

The Xylo has 4 stock speakers (2 in the front and 2 in the center).

Xylo has hardly any trunk space to start with. So I would like to place both the amplifier and woofer underneath the seats.

Please advice on what should I get.

Most underseat subwoofers do not provide deep bass. At best they offer a mid bass thump. Even so most of them are about 5-6" deep. Do you ahve clear 5-6" under the seat? If you there are models from Pioneer, Rockford Fosgate and others.

You will also need an amplifer with speaker level inputs (or speaker level to line level converter). This is assuming your OEM DVD HU does not have any RCA outputs. Installation in these cases is a bit trciky as you have to ensure engine whine does not creep into the music.

i have bought the car on 4-4-12 and have crossed 8K km mark.

after some research in ICE section i have become quite confused.

local (Latur, MH) ICE installers just want to make some $$$ so they only keep some basic mp3/dvd players at high price.

no branded cables & no installation without cutting wires .

so need a good USB MP3 player setup with clear sound thats all.

BTW is Clarion DXZ786USB available in India?

also how are the HELIX speakers?

EDIT:
there is space for 6 1/2" speakers in the door panels.

so i am thinking to go for 4 components with a sub-woofer setup but there is no space to fit any branded enclosure box.

a local installer suggested 2 front components with 2 under seat 6x9" speakers in custom box.
