Booking a Desert Storm

I had been to this Dealer with the requisite booking amount of Rs.5000/- for booking a Desert Storm, I filled up the Order Booking Form no.3635 (though I did not sign it) and when I questioned about registration procedure, the SA was very reluctant with two things, firstly I told them that the registration charges is too high and I have my own men there at RTO to do this cheaper but he bluntly refused and also added that it is Royal Enfield Policy to do registration at this cost and hand it over to Customer.

Secondly I told him that my present vehicle policy with ICICI has a NCB of 40% which I want to transfer and avail in the Desert Storm, he again told me that Royal Enfield has tie-up with United India Insurance and even if the Chairman of United India had come to his showroom, he would be compelled to pay for the Insurance quoted by this SA.

Re: The Legend Motors : Royal Enfield Accessories

Happy to see the wide range of accessories. Especially the silencers and crash guards. However RE still lacks options of wheels, never found an alloy that appealing to replace the stock rims.

I hope something like this opens in Pune! Getting stuff from Nana Peth is sometimes a headache. And you can't really check out stuff at your own pace and then choose what you want. You sort of have to know perfectly what you want before you go there!
Hello thumpingheart,

This is a pretty old post and I am pretty new to the RE world. Please advise if there are any shops available in and around Pune, from where I can get accessories for by Bullet 500. (I prefer to see the things to get a feel before going for them, therefore online is not the best option for me)

If present, can you please give me the addresses so that I can visit them.

Best regards,

Hi. The only place to find reliable and well priced accessories is nana peth. There the bombay motorcycle shop and a few others. But be sort of sure of what you want and make sure you have been heard. Its quite busy most days. But you'll find whatever you need. Its awesome. There a few people standing opposite the shop who will fix the accessories you have bought. They're ok but not too knowledgeable. So better to get them fixed at a reliable re mechanic.

The shops aren't too difficult to find once you reach nana peth. I prefer going from seven love chowk. Easier.

Hello thumpingheart,

Thank you for your response. I now know the details of atleast one shop in Pune area, though a bit far from my location. Bombay Motorcycle, will be my next visit, just casually to check things available.

Best regards,
