What I like:

• Proprietor is very approachable and a TBHP reader
• Good prices. I bought a Focal 4 ch amp at a very good price here.
• Good service for basic installs
• Air Conditioned 'ICE Room' in the back where you can gape at all kinds of components.

What I don't like:

• Location. Do not take your car to GP Road unless you are doing an install there. My 800 ended up with a police boot on the wheel when it was parked just a few meters away in Woods Road. Please take a bike or an auto. Or park your car in Express Avenue and walk to GP Road.

All kinds of people will surround you when you enter GP Road in order to hustle you into their shops and this can be a little disconcerting. Just go straight to Chandru and ask for Haresh and you will be safe. Ask to see a demo of the rocking ICE in Haresh's i10. But the i10's ICE was not installed in his own shop. It was installed at another place that's coming up next.

Yeah, they do the fitting on the road at GP road, but my car was done at Power Zone which has a garage.

Visited Chandru Auto Stores to purchase a few accessories for my Xylo. My friend recommended this store and said they stock all Genuine Accessories and have good variety also.
Purchased Floor Mats, Horn (Roots Vibrasonic) and a car Freshner (My Shaldan). I was totally impressed with the Audio room that they have. They stock an amazing variety of ICE Components ranging from - Subwoofers, Amps, speakers, cabling, damping material of all the popular audio brands in the market.
Will definately recommend this place for shopping all Car accessories.

Hey BHPians,
Visited Chandru's Auto store last week to get the front doors of my Civic damped. Haresh took me inside the ICE room and showed me dynamat and Focal. I loved the quality and feel of the focals and immediately wanted it in my car .
Used a full roll for the front two doors. You can see the pics below for further installation details. The results were very good and satisfying. Doors close with a nice solid feel. Bass- heavy songs do not cause any rattling, sound levels have considerably increased, volume level 10 now is like volume level 12 earlier.
Also got H7, P8 Xenon 4300K HID's and H7 philips crystal vision installed on my eagle eye headlamps.

All the installs were done very professionally and patiently, with each of my query and request being attended to. Great shop, would highly recommend it and great bunch of guys handling it, was a pleasure chatting with them during the install time.

I think Chennai, though being the Detroit of India, has a shortage of great car audio and accessories guys. Chandru Auto Stores and Power Zone have a good reputation on here, and they pay a lot of attention to customers. IMHO however, they need to step things up a notch, since they aren't at the level of installers like Motor Concept in Delhi, or Ajay Kamath in Mumbai. Nothing comes close to Mumbai and Delhi for Car Audio and Accessories yet. Not sure why, but no one stocks Rainbow, Flux Audio, Mosconi, and other great brands. If I buy another car here and want to get great car audio, I'll have to drive it at least to Mumbai and get Ajay to work on it. Suggestion for both Chandru Auto Stores and Power Zone, since your reputation has been enhanced by the Team-BHP community- please start stocking, or at least providing the option of some great brands. Focal is not the be-all and end-all of car audio

Was at Chandru week before last to have seat covers and a reverse cam unit fitted on a friend's Amaze.

Settled for Elegant Art leather perforated seat covers , a 4.3" display with a DHC cam.

The overall fit was good and Rajesh was very courteous.

as suggested I straight away walked into Chandru and asked for Haresh. He was patient enough to answer all queries. I even took his phone number and called him multiple times with different product requirements and he promptly returned my call.

I went in for the below setup for my Santo.

Installation

installation took about two hours and Haresh personally sat in the car for about 20 mins and tuned the setting to match my taste. Hats off to him for the same.

I paid 23000/-- including installation and credit card service charge.
