An hour well spent in an International Paystar

Its been long since I wished to be inside these American Rigs. Every-time I traveled, we passed these massive rigs, as i was always in a hurry to reach Ahmedabad. This time I did the unthinkable, dumped the work and stopped on the way to have a peek.

PS: Also am not feeling well after a hectic trip, so please just enjoy the images without the details.

BTW These are owned by or contracted by ONGC and operated by a great and kind crew led by Mr. Choudhry. Thanks to them.

Thanks a lot SirAlec. It is always nice to see such ultra-rare machines on Indian soil. I am sure the number of Ferraris in India outnumber ONGC's fleet of American trucks.

Do you have any idea what kind of numbers these are bought in by ONGC? They have Peterbilts and Kenworths too, but in what kind of figures?

It's really interesting that these machines have to be imported from so far away, I guess the market is so small that domestic manufacturers don't even think of them.

Please do tell us about the transmission and how shifting works if they told you about it (once you get better of course). The method is absolute gibberish to me. Also, does it have a jake brake?
