Spotted! Tata Ace with updated Engine

Caught this Tata Ace with updated engine (Guess) As they were moving pretty fast, at about 100Kmph.

Location- Gujarat

Great find. Must be the new Ace with the DiCor Engine. It'll take on AL's Dost. Although looking at the load bay, it makes me wonder; why didn't they go for a higher sidewall design, as it will help them in testing it under overload conditions easily.

Low profile side wall means lower manufacturing cost. Bet you cannot see any small truck on road with untouched factory built load body!

But already Super Ace is in that Category, which takes on Dost.

The side wall height should align with the pay load. This you can see in design of tipper bodies as well.

Agree with you in the case of tipper where payload has got relationship with volume of load bay & the same can be found in the brochures. My reference was to only SCVs.

Seeing the Picture 2 just saw the sooth released by this engine is got stuck to the side body. Hope they reduce the harmful emissions and not like the auto's and truck that pollute like hell.
